Casa Jonhy

+ Great apartment, very big and modern + Good location, near many shops and restaurants + Good value for money + Friendly staff

- Unfortunately the walls were very thin and there is a bar nearby that closes at 4 am so every night you would be awoken by drunks shouting and singing in the street, but this is not the owner's fault.

Good location, nice modern space, great shower pressure, clean and tidy. Has Iron and ironing table, bathroom essentials and bathroom products such as shampoo, etc.

Bedroom/windows need to have something to help with street noise...woken up a few times due to bin trucks and noisy people at night. We brought noise cancelling plugs as we knew of the issue, but it didn't help as its simply too noisy. Bathroom should have a towel hanger and toilet paper holder, but not a biggie.

Localização muito central, conforto e comodidade do apartamento. Apartamento com boas áreas e limpeza excecional. O anfitrião era muito prestável e atencioso.

Nada a apontar.

The apartment itself was clean upon arrival and centrally located. Everything we needed — shops, restaurants, and the city center — was within close walking distance, which was convenient. The owners were helpful in providing information, particularly regarding parking options. The kitchen includes basic appliances such as a microwave, kettle, and standard cooking equipment. The property is also gated, which may be reassuring to some guests.

Unfortunately, the surrounding environment made our seven-day stay extremely difficult. The apartment is located right next to a nightclub or late-night bar that operates until the early morning hours. During our entire stay, we were unable to sleep properly. The noise was not just music — it included constant shouting, screaming, heated arguments, and what sounded like physical altercations on the street. At times it also seemed as though property was being damaged by intoxicated individuals leaving the club. In addition, there were very loud motorcycles revving and driving through the street at night. We noticed police cars in the area on several evenings, but the disturbances continued without any noticeable improvement. Numerous previous reviews also mention the noise issue, suggesting it is ongoing. The overall atmosphere felt quite dodgy, particularly as many surrounding properties on the street appear empty or in a ruined condition. The house rules clearly state that guests must not make noise inside the apartment. However, even if someone were completely silent indoors, the street noise alone would still overpower everything. The external disturbance makes quiet enjoyment of the property impossible. We live in London (Camden Town) and are used to a busy environment, but this was on another level entirely. Although everything is centrally located and within walking distance, parking in the immediate area is extremely difficult and feels unsafe, especially with the nightclub activity nearby. We chose to park about 10 minutes away in a safer location. The street itself is in very poor condition, with potholes and visible damage, creating a risk of damaging your car when unloading luggage. Inside the apartment, there are several practical issues. For a seven-day stay, only one large towel and one small towel per person were provided. Without a washing machine, this is not sufficient.
