Location. New state. Spacious. Good looking. Very cleaned.

The bathroom lacks racks for towels and toilet paper. The main door should have blinds or more privacy. The gate only opens with a key - it doesn't have a latch - this makes little sense in an emergency/fire situation.

Location is perfect, a couple of minutes walk into Faro centre. Clean and private, set back off the road. Perfect for a couple sharing, definitely enough room to not trip over each other and double bedroom with tons of wardrobe space is away from the main living area. Kitchen has four hobs and all the necessary utensils, crockery, cutlery fridge etc for those not wanting to eat out every day. There is also a patio outside the front door if you just wanna chill outside, although this is next to the a/c units. TV in the front room has all the usual stuff. Coat stand. Comfy sofa. Very uncluttered.

The noise that happens outside the bedroom (which looks directly onto another back street; the front room is the one that is a bit quieter as it's set back from the road) is absolutely ridiculous. There are three or four bars at the top of the road and the security staff / bouncers obviously do nothing to curtail the noise. There was screaming / shouting / drunk antics from all the drinkers at kicking out time, from 3am to around 4am which always woke us up. Then the rubbish truck comes with its beeping and engine on and smashes all the bottles around for recycling. We should have moved the bed into the front room, in hindsight. I know a lot of this is out of the landlord's hands but I have seen many reviews on here complaining about it so obviously it's not an isolated incident and the property owners need to address this. Install more soundproofing perhaps?

The apartment itself was clean upon arrival and centrally located. Everything we needed — shops, restaurants, and the city center — was within close walking distance, which was convenient. The owners were helpful in providing information, particularly regarding parking options. The kitchen includes basic appliances such as a microwave, kettle, and standard cooking equipment. The property is also gated, which may be reassuring to some guests.

Unfortunately, the surrounding environment made our seven-day stay extremely difficult. The apartment is located right next to a nightclub or late-night bar that operates until the early morning hours. During our entire stay, we were unable to sleep properly. The noise was not just music — it included constant shouting, screaming, heated arguments, and what sounded like physical altercations on the street. At times it also seemed as though property was being damaged by intoxicated individuals leaving the club. In addition, there were very loud motorcycles revving and driving through the street at night. We noticed police cars in the area on several evenings, but the disturbances continued without any noticeable improvement. Numerous previous reviews also mention the noise issue, suggesting it is ongoing. The overall atmosphere felt quite dodgy, particularly as many surrounding properties on the street appear empty or in a ruined condition. The house rules clearly state that guests must not make noise inside the apartment. However, even if someone were completely silent indoors, the street noise alone would still overpower everything. The external disturbance makes quiet enjoyment of the property impossible. We live in London (Camden Town) and are used to a busy environment, but this was on another level entirely. Although everything is centrally located and within walking distance, parking in the immediate area is extremely difficult and feels unsafe, especially with the nightclub activity nearby. We chose to park about 10 minutes away in a safer location. The street itself is in very poor condition, with potholes and visible damage, creating a risk of damaging your car when unloading luggage. Inside the apartment, there are several practical issues. For a seven-day stay, only one large towel and one small towel per person were provided. Without a washing machine, this is not sufficient.
