Eldon Cottage

It was spacious downstairs and I enjoyed having the small bit of grass across from the property that I was able to use to sunbathe on nice days. The bathroom was very modern and fresh

Most of the windows were a bit sticky which was difficult during the heat as the property warmed up as they do in Scotland. On entering the property it smelled a bit musty as if it hadn't been cleaned/ inhabited for a while. Most of the dishes in the kitchen were dirty when removing them from the cupboards and the microwave was all fingerprints. It gave me the impression the place hadn't been cleaned very well.

The views were stunning- straight across to the shore and the sea. Just wonderful. We saw otters, seals, dolphins, a minke whale and lots of birds. The cottage was very comfortable and the beds and sofas were also super cosy. It had a large fridge-freezer and a generous table.

Nothing.

Location. Decor. Small and cosy. Access to bench outside by the sea.

Parking maybe? We 'upset' a neighbour by parking in their space on arrival.

Beautifully decorated cottage in an amazing location with sea views. The host, Alasdair, couldn't have been more helpful when we had queries.

A dish rack would be helpful to dry the dishes in and a knife sharpener (although we always take our own on self-catering holidays).
