Mandala Eco Resort Lombok

Vraiment extraordinaire.

- The villas are incredible, with a private pool - Close to nature and very peaceful - Beautiful view of Mount Rinjani - Close to the local community - The rooms are well equipped - The staff were great: super friendly and responsive, nothing to complain about - We originally booked 3 nights, but that was far too long for us because of the points below. We asked to cancel one night, and the hotel agreed to refund 50%.

- Good to know: there is no Grab or Gojek (taxi apps) in Selong Belanak. The hotel is 13 km from the center, with a 10-minute stretch of damaged road full of potholes. Getting to Selong Belanak beach takes about 30 minutes, and a driver costs 150,000 IDR (around €7). The road is also too rough to rent a scooter safely. - There are gaps around the doors and windows of the villa, so quite a few insects get into the room. - The pools are overlooked by neighboring villas, which was a little disappointing as this was the main reason for booking. Luckily, I managed to hide it by moving some furniture.
