To nie jest miejsce dla osób, które gustują w 5 gwiazdkowych hotelach all inclusive. To cudowne, rodzinne miejsce z kilkoma pokojami dla gości, warzywa i owoce rosną dookoła, zwierzęta domowe chodzą przy domu. Sielskie, spokojne miejsce w najbardziej niesamowitych okolicznościach jakie możecie sobie wyobrazić. Wieczorem robi się zupełnie cicho, woda w jeziorze niczym nie zmącona. Widoki nie do zapomnienia. Jedzenie przepyszne - gotuje mama właściciela domku i inni członkowie rodziny. Jedzenie lokalne, smaczne, świeże, również z własnych składników i mimo, że nie ma menu do wyboru, to każdy coś dla siebie znalazł.

Miejsce dla osób sprawnych fizycznie - od molo, do którego przypływa się łódką do domów trzeba wspiąć się ścieżką ze schodami. Podobnie żeby przemieścić się z jednego domku do drugiego (gdzie się je). Dość drogie posiłki (oprócz śniadania, które jest w cenie pokoju) - każdy posiłek 20eur/os. - można zamówić i lunch i kolację. A alternatyw nie ma, ponieważ dookoła tylko góry i jezioro. Jednak jakość posiłków trochę wynagradza cenę :)

If you are to visit Shala river, do not stay AT shala river, stay here! You will be welcomed by the most friendly family there is and have no worries at all. We stayed 2 nights, arriving before lunch and leaving at in the afternoon. This was great. The hotel offers transfer from a hotel in Koman to the dock. From there the boat will drop you off and the same procedure when returning. This worked flawless, do not try and arrange yourself. It is not worth it. The room we stayed in was well kept . There is no AC, but it is an old stone house so it was actually quite cool even in mid august with 28 degrees outside. We ate all meals at the hotel which is made from local ingredients and what we guess is traditional albanian food. Everything was very good. If you want a beer och glass of wine in the eventing or afternoon you can just ask. There are plenty of sunbeds at the dock which you are free to use. A perfect place to just relax. We also went for a short hike, nothing in particular to see but a good excersise. You can also borrow fishing equipment if you wan to try and catch your own dinner. We visited shala river one time and we went by kayak which you borrow free of charge. Trere were 4 or 5 double kayaks and a sup, which is shared with another hotel next door. Even when fully booked we found them usually be available. It took about 45 minutes and I really recommend this, especialy going a bit later when most day tours have returned.. Shala river is nice, but the water is really cold (12-13C). This is why we really enjoyed Norral Shelter since the temperature in the water here was 22-23 mid august. I can nothing but give my warmest recommendations to stay here when visiting shala river area, i think this was the highligt of our two weeks in albania.

The only thing that could be done is to exterminate the underground wasp nests at the dock. They never bothered us really and are not aggressive, but you need to watch your step.

De ligging is perfect! Echt prachtige omgeving. De bedden zijn ook goed en de kamer is schoon. Vanuit het hostel werd vervoer (tegen betaling) geregeld wat heel erg fijn is! Echt een pluspunt.

We wisten het niet van te voren, maar je hebt geen privacy. De slaapkamer is onder de slaapkamer en woonkamer van de eigenaren. Je kan alles horen. Het balkon was een gedeeld balkon samen met het gezin.
