Perfect Hillside Ocean View

I love the views of the ocean and the hills from the property.The condos are located on a quiet corner of the island, a few minutes' drive to Five Islands village and St. Johns. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and well furnished. The hosts and their staff are always helpful, professional and friendly. You definitely need a car to get around, but its well worth it!

Nothing to dislike

For us it was the view over the bay and beach from the apartment's main bedroom and lounge balcony, which were the main attraction of our stay. We also appreciated that with it's pull down double bed in the lounge, the flat could accommodate five people. The washer and dryer were great to have too. Communication with the host was excellent and the flat was very clean - and well priced for Antigua. We loved the petals in the bowl of water by the door. It's also not far from some really super beaches (a 5 to 15 min drive away).

As another review states - the apartment's interior is dated and really needs a refresh. This is characterised by old and odd fittings, the mismatched cups, glasses, towels etc. We really missed having a dishwasher too. In the bathroom the lever/tap for the sink (strangest device I have ever seen) and shower were troublesome and really difficult to use. In the end I resorted to shaving in the kitchen sink. It would be nice to be able to turn off the spot lights at night outside the front bedroom too, so the room could be fully dark. A note about the pool - it looks nice - but you will discover the floor of the pool is coated in sharp pebble dash render and it's easy to graze yourself as both my son and I did on a couple of occasions.

The location of the flat is just one minutes walk to Yepton beach it is incredible. And a lot of the time you get to have this beautiful Caribbean beach all to yourself! Pillar Rock Condos are great if you want a secluded getaway. The view from the very large covered balcony is amazing, it just looks out straight over the Caribbean Sea and Yepton Beach and you have the same view from your bed in one of the bedrooms. A very well equipped kitchen and they even supplied bottled water for your whole stay.

The apartment was like stepping back in to the '80s. Some towels and floor mats need updating. Bed Sheets need Ironing
