Was looking forward to staying here as our former PM LKY stayed here long time ago. The room is clean & comfortable. Location is definitely unbeatable at Zhongshan Pedestrian street, Bashi & facing Gulangyu island. Lots & lots of eateries here. Tea, coffee, fruits & minbar are complimentary. The staff cleaned the room well. The toiletries are excellent & there’s bidet toilet. We didn’t have breakfast as wanted to try local food outside. The hotel is actually smaller than the pictures. The lobby is small & doesn’t have a fitness centre which we thought a hotel of this size should have. My room door always goes off in alarm whenever we close the door from inside. We have to open them close the door a few times before the alarm goes off. Other than these, we have no issues.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel in Xiamen. The location is excellent, and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We were especially touched by the thoughtful gesture of providing dessert every evening after dinner. It was such a sweet surprise and made us feel appreciated. ❤️ However, the housekeeping service needs improvement. During our 3-night stay, the room was not properly cleaned on both the first and second days, with hair still left in the bathroom. Unfortunately, the second day was even worse. We returned at 4pm and found the hairdryer still on the dressing table and hair left on the chairs from the previous day. I immediately informed the front desk and showed them the photos, but they only said they would take note without offering to have the room cleaned again. This was disappointing, especially since we paid extra to upgrade 2 rooms. We did not expect this level of housekeeping from such a beautiful hotel. Overall, we really appreciated the excellent location, beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff. I hope the housekeeping team can pay more attention to cleanliness and details, so future guests can enjoy an even better experience.

Ideal location for street walking, access to ferries and other transport. Hotel is superbly attired. Room exceptional. Did not eat or drink in the hotel. WiFi intermittent and not of highest security. Use data. Will definitely stay again when in Xiamen.

The hotel has been updated with a vintage style. Good for photo taking, but not for comfort stays. We booked two rooms with city view for four nights. We were told the windows are locked for safety reasons, which I understand. However, one of the rooms is completely dark with no sun slight. The windows are decorated with shade screen. There is no way to see anything outside. I even suspect those windows are fake. People with claustrophobia should avoid this hotel by no means. The location is perfect, but definitely not worth the price!
