Vang Vieng Sisavang Hotel

It was alright. Old/tradition like. And I appreciated the pool after a long day outdoor. Also, the staff was very helpful with my transfort, logistic and the whole arrangement was super smooth.

Their main issue is with their breakfast and behaviour of a few service professionals. Their breakfast timing is from 7:30-10:00 but after 8:30 they don't refill the items. Only the Vietnamese lady from the reception behaves well with the guests. The person limping always is very rude

Apart from “upgrading” us to a dirty room and dirty toilet, the staff had a spider in reception that landed on my neck and were very judgmental in general. Asking for anything felt like I was doing something wrong. They also charged extra because they “didn’t use the market exchange rates”. They didn’t say hi when you came inside even when I said it first. The woman was very rude until we asked to rent a motorbike and then she started smiling like she’d just won the lottery and once we paid she went back to being rude. The helmets they gave us were terrible and genuinely smelt of puke. The breakfast was very good, however, one staff member kept looking at everyone as if he was a security guard or something. The pool was very dirty.

The place is well located, the staff was amazing. Hanna goes above and beyond for the guests, the breakfast was also lovely. The only issue I had was how the room was. It had mold on parts of the bathroom, the sheets had stains that probably won’t leave, the windows looked dirty and the doors had dust. It was a bit uncomfortable to sleep there as there were ants when I got in as well but the staff was so nice I felt bad to be complaining about certain issues. Overall i enjoyed the way the staff treated me and the food as well. Would go back but definitely would ask them to clean it a bit more to make customers more comfortable.
