We (a family of three) spent a wonderful week at Marie-Claire and Christian’s place in Barbentane. The house is charming, tastefully decorated with great attention to detail, and equipped with everything you might need. The peaceful location, the beautiful garden, and the lovely pool made our stay absolutely perfect – especially during the hot days. The beds are very comfortable, and we slept wonderfully, which made the whole experience even more relaxing.Marie-Claire and Christian are incredibly kind, warm, and helpful – you immediately feel welcome. We truly enjoyed our stay and can wholeheartedly recommend this house.

Stunning property. The pool was very welcome as it was very hot when we were there; the fans in the bedrooms were needed at night! Christian and Marie-Claire were wonderful hosts that kept everything running smoothly while giving us privacy. The fruit and vegetable stands close to the property were amazing and the butcher store in the village was great as well. The apartment itself was very beautiful, authentic and well-decorated! We would recommended it wholeheartedly - our 9 and 14 year old girls especially loved the pool!

We had a wonderful 9-day experience living in this charming renovated farmhouse. Our hosts, who live adjacent, were a delightful, and talented couple (he has a tribute band and she is an art restorer with her own art in a museum show!) who gave us privacy yet were available for whatever we needed.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. It was very clean and looks JUST like the pictures: gorgeous! We like to cook and found the kitchen well appointed. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel so welcome. If you are looking to explore Provance with your own car, this is an excellent location. HIGHLY recommended!

The property is very nice with charm and a good size. Upstairs we was surprised bathroom is accessed from both bedrooms which at times was difficult to juggle. Fine if you have younger children but not ideal if you are all adults. The outside area, although nice, was not private and for us this was a problem. we felt that we were being watched a simple fence would have been good so at least we felt more private. so I would suggest anyone wanting privacy on their holiday, as we did, this is not the house for you. We had a two week stay at the house, we did not receive clean sheets or towels in that time, only upon arrival. I would suggest at the very least a weekly change would be acceptable. We had to wash the towels ourselves. The weather was extremely hot, I would suggest a fan to be provided or air conditioning be installed as heat inside the house was unbearable. We was told the BQQ was a part of their private area, so the BQQ that is included in the description is not provided. This was hard then to cook inside the house as it was simply too hot. Christian was a very friendly man and gave us lots of helpful recommendations for the local shops. In terms of value for money, having always hired private villa or house this was not value for money because of the lack of privacy.

We had a lovely stay with Marie Claire and Christian. From the moment we arrived, greeted with much appreciated refreshments, to our departure,we were treated with such kind hospitality. The property is exquisite, and Barbentane is so nice. Many detailed, beautiful decor, and nothing missing appt all. Very quaint and easy to navigate from throughout Provence. We hope to return!

We had a wonderful stay..Marie-Claire and Christian were so friendly and the house was a delight. The decor was typically French Farmhouse which was fabulous..and it's proxim8ty to Avignon and other Provencal villages was a bonus ...the swimming pool unfortunately did not get the use it deserved due to our sightseeing and the Mistral blowing. I would rate our stay as a 10 out of 10. The only downside was that I would have liked a stand up shower. Many thanks Marie Claire and Christian. We will certainly be recommending you to friends

The house, pool and entire grounds are very beautiful and I would say it is a great choice for couples or people with older children. We had our 18 month old with us and I would say if you have an active toddler (less than 2 years) I would not recommend. Our little boy threw small stones in the pool a few times (despite us trying to stop him in time), and the one time we didn't get to them before the owner saw, she was furious which left our whole party feeling very harassed and uncomfortable for the remainder of our stay. I want to add we retrieved all of them with the pool scoop, this was the one time we didn't get to them before the owner saw. So as I say, I cannot fault the property itself, the owners were very welcoming with drinks when we first arrived which was lovely, and I would definitely recommend to people without young children as that is the only area of contention which caused issues for us. For anyone with a toddler I would consider elsewhere.

Marie-Claire et Christian sont des hôtes très agréables, discrets et disponibles. Nous avons adoré les deux semaines passées dans leur propriété, qui ne manque de rien et est parfaitement entretenue. La piscine était fortement appréciée par les enfants où les records de plongeons ont été battus ;) La maison est idéalement située pour visiter la région.

La location est parfaite pour 4 personnes. Elle est à la fois pratique spacieuse et pleine de charme. La propreté et l entretien sont irréprochables. En plus, Marie Claire et Christian s'attachent à offrir avec efficacité et discrétion à leurs hôtes les meilleures conditions de séjour et que rien ne manque. Nous les remercions pour leurs gentillesses et leurs conseils. Nous avons également apprécié le village de Barbentane où l'accueil est particulièrement agréable dans les commerces (boulanger, supérette, boucher, bar, restaurant...). En résumé, une adresse parfaite pour visiter la Provence et se reposer près de la piscine !

Séjour conforme à nos attentes, les propriétaires sont très discrets et sympathiques. Dommage que le lave-vaisselle ait été en panne mais cela nous a finalement rajeuni de 30 ans et nous n'étions présents que 3 jours.

J'ai passé 10 jours avec mes trois enfants à Barbentane, un séjour que je voudrais répéter à tout moment! La maison est absolument fantastique, avec un charme sans pareille. Située dans une ruelle très tranquille elle est très bien entretenue, très propre, avec un jardin et une piscine qui sortent du commun. L'accueil par les propriétaires était très chaleureux. Vu qu'ils habitent juste à côté leur disponibilité est exemplaire en cas d'éventuels problèmes. A recommander absolument pour passer des journées tranquilles et découvrir en même temps la Avignon et les environs.

Wundesrchönes Haus mit tollem Hof/Garten...liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Pool ist zwar nicht gross, reicht aber zum Abkühlen und Planschen völlig aus. Auch die Sitzecke am Pool ist toll zum Frühstücken. Was uns etwas verwunderte war das die Vermieter unmittelbar nebenan wohnen, dort auch ihre Terrasse haben, auch eine weitere Sitzecke ist nur dem Eigentümer vorbehalten...diese Tatsache haben wir aus der Beschreibung im Inserat nicht entnommen. Man muss aber dazusagen, dass sich die Eigentümer sehr zurückhalten, nicht im Garten sitzen oder Ähnliches...man ist aber defakto nicht alleine!!! Wir hatten ein Problem mit dem Bett, da dieses sehr durchgelegen war, aber nachdem wir Marie-Claire darauf ansprachen kaufte sie gleich am nächsten Tag einen Lattenrost! Wir hatten als Familie mit 2 Kindern eine sehr erholsame Woche und haben den Pool und den schön angelegten Garten/ Hof seh genossen.

À quelques kilomètres d'Avignon, Havre de paix et de tranquillité, grâce de charmants propriétaires, tout de discrétion.Tant l'intérieur que l'extérieur, avec en prime une très sympathique piscine, rendent le séjour bien agréable. Nous avons passé de superbes vacances dans une maison très bien décorée avec beaucoup de goût style revue de décoration. Les propriétaires sont très charmants et très discrets , ils partagent la propriété mais on ne les voit jamais , on se sent chez soi . Le jardin et l'espace piscine sont superbes . Our autumn journey to Provence was wonderful, in large part due to the Mas de la Vanade we rented from Marie-Claire and Christian REY. The 2-bedroom stone house at the foot of the village of Barbentane is furnished in a lovely blend of antiques and modern pieces. (In fact, we found out where the owners bought the garden chairs and brought 6 of them back home to Germany!) We found everything we needed in the house, from an iron and drying rack to the necessary kitchen implements and a washing machine. The owners are on the premises, very helpful when you need them and barely there otherwise. We enjoyed the last roses of summer in the garden and read by the pool, as it was already too cool outside to swim. The property is very conveniently located, a short walk to the village (for bread, groceries, a hair cut, two small restaurants and a general store that stocks everything on earth) and only 15 minutes from Avignon, for more serious shopping and sightseeing. We made regular use of the Jardin de Frederic, a vegetable and cheese shop, as well as the Maison de la Presse, which even stocks The New York Times and a small Intermarche--both on the main road near the house. All in all, we would recommend this house to anyone looking for an authentic experience in Provence! Un grand merci Marie-Claire et Christian for welcoming us so warmly!

Marie Claire et Christian se sont montrés d'une grande discrétion durant notre séjour afin de nous permettre de pleinement apprécier tous les agréments de leur maison ... nous nous sommes sentis chez nous ... un lieu très agréable où il fait bon profiter des senteurs du jardin, de la piscine, des cigales, du calme ... le village de Barbentane est charmant et les commerçants/restaurateurs forts sympathiques ...la situation centrale du mas nous a permis de rayonner dans toute la région. Un séjour 5 étoiles.

Des vacances ensoleillée dans un cadre magnifique. Une maison très agréable pour une famille avec piscine, transats et hamac !! Nous avons adoré notre séjour et les propriétaires sont adorables et très accueillant. Nous recommandons ce petit coin de la Provence, en plus l'huile d'Olive de Barbentane est excellente et le marché Bio incontournable. N'hésitez pas à louer cette maison !!!

We had a lovely 5 night stay. Marie-Claire & Christian were friendly, helpful hosts. The kids very much enjoyed the pool. We used a hire car to explore the greater Provence region - Fountaine de Vacluse, Gordes, Rousillon, St-Remy de Provence, les Baux de Provence & Avignon town.

Je viens de passer un séjour délicieux et malheureusement trop court, la maison est juste idéale un vrai havre de paix tout y est pensé avec soin la déco est harmonieuse et les literies impeccables . L’ accueil est chaleureux sans être envahissant,le jardin en cette arrière saison reste superbe et nous avons encore pu en profiter pour diner dehors. Nous avons été tres bien renseigné sur tous les coins environnants à visiter, telle que l’abbaye de Frigolet ,la ville d’Avignon , St Rémy de Provence et les Alpilles, Arles ….Nous reviendrons assurément.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour à Barbentane: Marie -Claire et Christian nous ont réservé un accueil chaleureux dans leur magnifique maison provencale La maison, la déco, le jardin, la piscine sont adorables et à la hauteur des photos du site. La découverte de la région fut agréable: la Montagnette, les villages des Alpilles, Arles et Avignon bien sûr..
