We loved everything about this hotel. It is a real gem! Classic Italian charm and styling, meticulously clean, comfortable rooms with plenty of storage, balcony with tranquil forest view and a roof top pool with a stunning panoramic views. It is also ideally located for exploring the Maiella National Park with the visitor centre is just further up the road. The owner David and his daughter I'Leanna are exceptional hosts. Welcoming, friendly and attentive. They are also exceptional chefs !! They produce authentic mouth watering Italian (and local Abruzzo) cuisine which is cooked with love and pride. Beautiful heart shaped ravoli, rissotto, classic Abruzzo grilled cheese 'Caciocavallo' with salad and vegetables. I'Leanna created the most wonderful desserts and cakes. Her tiramisu was sublime! Cakes and treats that my Italian mum and Nonna would make, It was plentiful and we indulged :-) It sets you for a day of trekking in the Maiella! The breakfast was plentiful with a wide range to choose from. Baked savoury breads with various toppings, beautiful cakes cooked by I'Lenna, sweet treats, various local cheese, meats, eggs, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, nuts, various local honey, fruit juices and coffee. It sets you for a day of trekking! Thank you David and I'Leanna for making our stay feel so special. A gem of a hotel in beautiful Caramanico Terme.
