    Lovely staying at KNP, if you are looking for a budget hotel with clean & hygienic rooms it's the place to stay at Rameshwaram.

    I booked the hotel looking at some of the positive reviews. But they do not reflect the reality. We were first given a room in which the curtain was broken and there was a hole in the wall near the bed. They offered us another room which had termite build up near the bed. Finally, the third room was the most decent, but even that had unclean linnen and pillow covers, we had to ask for a replacement. Their service is really bad, not at all guest friendly. They don't even provide an extra towel if needed. They have a strict policy of only one towel per guest per day. Even when we asked for a towel in advance for the next day, the person at the reception refused, stating a new towel can only be provided when we return the previous day's towel. There is not intercom in the hotel and you have to call the reception through cell each time when you need something, which became tiresome that you end up walking to the reception directly. One of the strangest things is that the power to the AC in the rooms is controlled at the reception. Every time you leave the room, even if you have switched off the AC, they still turn off the main power. You have to go and inform at the reception each time when you are back and only then they turn the power on. I have never seen such a set up in any hotel. The wifi was poor. You cannot take video calls on phone or laptop without buffering or getting disconnected multiple times. The rooms were very poorly maintained. Overall, I would definitely not recommend the hotel. The one good thing was the way the staffs in the hotel talk to customers. They are polite and respectful. But the facility and service needs to seriously improve.
