What do you want from your London accommodation? For me, I needed a base to put my suitcases and to sleep. I was out working all day, and making the most of the proximity to London in the evening. The house has been well-designe for maximum occupancy, so the single rooms are small and basic, but that was all I needed. It was considerably cheaper (better value) than a lot of other accommodation I considered, close to Easling, Acton, Gunnersbury, Kew Gardens and Richmond and access to central London. The kitchens and bathrooms are all finished to a high standard. Subject to availability, there is parking at the front (gold dust in London). The property is literally four doors away from the entrance to Gunnersbury Park, and the bus stops are very close by. The kitchen has an oven, a mircrowave and two fridge/frezers, and the downstairs batheroom has two washing machines in it. I stayed there for 19 days. I was initially apprehensive as there are 10 rooms, some with multiple occupancy. But there was an unspoken mutual respect for flexibility, quiet and using the bathrooms and kitchen. It seemed only to be busy at weekends. The owners were regularly around during the day changing the rooms between guests, so we could discuss any issues (and they were swift to answer the phone if there were any enquiries as well. I would be happy to come back again for next year.
This isn't so much "what I didn't like", but a couple of things to be aware of. The rooms are basic. This is fine if you just need a base. There was no tumble dryer in the residents' communal area. Not an issue if you are staying a few nights, but something work considering if you have an extended stay. That said, I mentioned this to the ower and she left her laundry room unlocked for me to use their machine. Despite there being two ffridges, space is limited. There is parking for three cars at the front. For the most part this was not an issue. At busy periods when these are all taken, there IS on-street parking, although parking restrictions are in force between 9-10am and for an hour in the afternoon. The owners can't do anything about the weather, but I was staying there during the June 2026 heatwave. The small rooms get hot very quickly.

Overall, I had a very pleasant stay. For the price, the accommodation offers excellent value and I would definitely recommend it.
Since there is no air conditioning, I would suggest providing a small fan, especially for the ground-floor rooms facing the street, where it's not very practical to keep the windows open for fresh air. The sound insulation between the rooms could also be improved. I could clearly hear snoring from the room next door as if it were in my own room. If possible, when the house isn't fully booked, it would be great to leave an empty room between guests to make the stay more comfortable.

One of the best places I've stayed in London, and well worth the price.
Everything was great.

Ideal area for transportation.
So the first of the building looked unkept with the downstairs bedroom window and cable and the stone being chipped. I then got in to the property and went upstairs ( carpet was stained) then I got to my room number 5 to find a flimsy door and then opened it and discovered that it wasn’t what the photos show in terms of space. The carpet was stained the bed looked okay and the windows could have done with a wipe down as it looked like not been touched in years. Especially as it gathers condensation. The curtain pole needs replacing due it being broke previously and been glued on. Towel was very small and the shampoo and body wash was barely enough. Then I had a walk around the bathroom on my floor was okay yet again could have done with a clean as the shower curtain looked not touched for years. on the topic of showers when you go be careful as the bath fills up when you turn the shower on and becomes slippery due to no bath mat to prevent slipping in side the bath/shower ( I almost slipped myself). When visiting downstairs the lounge has no tv the socket one of the sockets have come away. The downstairs bathroom has a massive drop from the lounge to the floor. Which isn’t safe. The bottom bathroom had a tile on the floor loose as you walked there was a patch of paint missing from the ceiling that looked like it flaked off over the toilet and window sill was dusty. Kitchen was decent size however lack of cups ( ended up finding them in the dishwasher unwashed) then found out lack of milk ( which I didn’t know I needed to provide myself) and no teabags. Fridge space was fine but no labels. Garden was a tip and very unpleasant to look at and unwelcoming. When sleeping bed was decent but due to the window being right above you the sound of the road was very loud and took a while to settle.
