We had a wonderful stay at Galata Watermill Cottage, a beautifully renovated and exceptionally well-equipped holiday home nestled in the tranquil village of Galata, just minutes from Kakopetria. The cottage is spacious and thoughtfully designed, offering all the comforts of home — ideal for families looking to unwind in the mountains. The house itself is immaculate and full of character. With three comfortable bedrooms, a large open-plan kitchen/dining area, and a cosy living space, it had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with modern appliances, and the outdoor terrace with mountain views was the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening BBQs. What made this stay especially memorable was its proximity to Kakopetria — just a short drive away — where we enjoyed charming walks through the old village and riverside trails. We also visited Marina Rope Park, which was a hit with the kids — a fantastic family outing just a short distance from the cottage. The location is excellent for exploring the Troodos Mountains and nearby nature parks. It’s peaceful, scenic, and offers easy access to attractions like Adventure Mountain Park and Kykkos Monastery. Additional highlights: • Free parking and Wi-Fi • Air-conditioning and a fireplace — perfect for any season • Washing machine and barbecue facilities • Gorgeous garden and terrace for outdoor relaxation We highly recommend Galata Watermill Cottage for anyone looking to relax, explore, and enjoy quality time with family or friends in the heart of the Cyprus mountains. There was honestly nothing we didn’t like. Everything was perfect — it’s rare to find a mountain home that combines such modern comfort with charm and character. It was refreshing to stay somewhere so beautifully renovated, yet still in keeping with the peaceful, traditional surroundings. We’re so glad to have found a spot we can return to again and again!

This delightful three-bedroom cottage offers a perfect retreat for those seeking tranquility and stunning mountain views. The property features a spacious layout, and modern comforts throughout. Three Beautiful bedrooms spacious, light-filled with A/C each room. Living Area is Comfortable open-plan living and dining area with a wood-burning fireplace Kitchen is Fully equipped with updated appliance's Outdoor Space is Private patio and garden area, ideal for relaxing or outdoor dining. Garden is amazing for kids. Direct view of three mountains and beautiful water mill just 50 metres away. Perfect for families, couples, or remote workers looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. Restaurant only 100 metres away, and local supermarket 300m.
