Family Cabin full bath

We liked the upgraded cabin.

We didn't know when we upgraded to a better cabin, the fee was an additional amount to what we already paid. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AS WE BELIEVE WE GOT SCAMMED. When we arrived at the Grand Canyon Campground, the maintenance guy said that he hoped we brought sheets, pillows, blankets, towels and wash cloths. I told him we didn't know we had to furnish that. According to the website, we thought it had it all. All it had was a full size bed and a set of bunk beds, a bathroom with a shower, a microwave, refrigerator and a coffee pot. Was supposed to sleep 6 and was a family cabin. NOT! He said if we called the owner, she may have a furnished cabin for a little more money. I called her and she said she had an A-frame cabin that had everything. She said it ran $650 for 4 nights but she would give it to us for $500 for 4 nights. We took it. As the week went on, I noticed that the fee of $488.52 had cleared my bank and another charge of $500 cleared also. I texted the owner and asked if we would get a refund of $488.52 for the first cabin. And she said "unfortunately No." We upgraded to the nicer cabin and she said that it was an additional $500 (which she never told us). So it really cost us $988.52 for 4 nights. NOT ACCEPTABLE! My husband tried calling her and got nowhere. He had heard my conversation with her as I had her on speaker phone. She lied about everything. He will be taking further action against them.

Beautiful woodsy area. Location and communication is great.

Cute little cabin, campground was clean and quiet. Each cabin had its own campfire ring and picnic table. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Quick responses when asking questions before stay.

Bed was a little hard for my personal liking but overall wasn't too bad. Listing didn't say to bring my own linens and towels but the campsite communicated it to me after initial booking and confirmation.

When we arrived it was easy to get into the cabin. Opening the door there is nothing comfortable for a stay of a couple days if you want a get away. This is really more of a hunting cabin. This was not clear to us. Therefore we checked out right away and cancelled the rest of the nights. The fact that our CC was charged immediately but the reimbursement took 14 days was not customer friendly. Reaching out to them a couple times I was notified that Booking.com will take so long but booking.vom informed us it’s all up to the site. I believe some outdoor junkies would be happy at the location, definitely not for us. Only marking it down as there could be some more information on the raw conditions and because the reimbursement took forever.
