The house was fine for our needs. Average at best. We knew it was quite a ways from Elon University but for graduation weekend it was hard to find something closer. The house was clean. I will say that it had several quirks that didn't bother us (ie 2 separate sinks in the master bath). The house did have a damp, musty smell. There were several lose tiles in places, moldy areas in the shower, knobs etc falling off. There were NO cleaning supplies. Towels were minimal and very thin. Kitchen supplies were meager. It was well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags. The neighborhood was quiet but run down. May 2026 the house was for sale.

Our stay was perfect, the house had most everything we needed. If we needed anything, the host was prompt with communication. I appreciated the space was equipped for young kids -including minimal decor so we weren’t nervous about breaking anything!

The neighborhood was the first thing we noticed when we got there. The house is not located in the best part of town, a bit sketchy. While the house was generally comfortable, the master bath had loose floor tiles and grout kept coming loose, not ideal for bare feet. The shower door allowed water to leak on the floor which was probably contributing to the loose tile issue. The pots and pans were worn and the finish was starting to come off. Not sure you want to cook with those. They could also use more silverware. There seemed to be a lack of forks and small spoons. Overall, given the location of the property it was probably a bit overpriced.
