The "Dependance Südstrand" vacation apartment is located on the first floor of a three-story building—with ground-level access—in the historic vacation community designed by the famous designer and architect Arne Jacobsen. The development is surrounded by water on three sides—to the north is the marina, to the west is the entrance to the Burgstaaken fishing harbor, and to the south is the wide Südstrand beach. The marina, with its circular pier, and the fantastic Südstrand beach are each just a few minutes’ walk away.
The vacation apartment has been completely modernized and now offers a fresh, contemporary ambiance. The living and sleeping areas have been furnished with new, stylish furniture that, along with the new flooring, creates a cozy atmosphere. The new kitchen features high-quality, modern appliances—including four induction burners, an oven, a dishwasher, and a fridge-freezer combo—and leaves nothing to be desired. The bathroom has also been completely redesigned and now features a spacious shower with a rain showerhead to make your stay even more enjoyable.

Within walking distance, you’ll find a bakery for fresh rolls as well as a general store at the harbor and near the “IFA Towers.” For families, the FehMare water park—with its ocean view and wave pool—offers an extra vacation vibe all year round, even in bad weather. The marina, electric vehicle charging stations, and public barbecue areas are located in the immediate vicinity.
The South Beach, just 350 m away, is the absolute highlight of the area—and is considered the most beautiful beach on the island of Fehmarn. With fine sand, shallow water, and plenty of space, it’s perfect for swimming, relaxing, and taking walks. The promenade along the beach features cafés, restaurants, and recreational activities for the whole family. Whether it’s surfing, fishing, or biking—numerous activities start right on your doorstep. Upon request, you can book a beach chair or e-bikes for your stay.
