Stonehouse Zrmanja

Das Stonehouse in Obrovac ist wunderschön. Sehr stilvoll vom Gebäude bis zur Einrichtung. Alles sehr geschmackvoll. Es ist alles da was man braucht. Es gibt sogar eine Spülmaschine. Die Terasse ist perfekt gestaltet. Das Bett ist bequem. Es ist vielleicht die schönste Ferienwohnung in der wir jemals waren. Die Vermieter sind super freundlich und kümmern sich vorbildlich um die Wünsche der Gäste. Wir haben mit unseren SUPs eine Tour auf der Zrmanja flussaufwärts gemacht und wussten nicht wie zurückkommen. Da hat der Vermieter Bekannte beauftragt uns dort abzuholen für einen sehr fairen Betrag. Wir hätten nicht gewusst wie wir das sonst organisiert bekommen hätten. Die Umgebung von Obrovac ist für Naturliebhaber ein Paradies: der Zrmanja und Krupa Canyon und das Velebit Gebirge z.B. mit dem atemberaubend schönen Tulove Grede sind absolut eine Reise wert! Im Ort gibt es jede Menge Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, eine Pizzeria und ein Hotel mit Restaurant. Wir haben es nicht gebraucht da wir uns in der Wohnung so wohl gefühlt haben dass wir lieber selber gekocht haben. Der Vermieter ist für uns ein absoluter Super-Host.

Es gibt, wie in der Anzeige vermerkt keine Haltemöglichkeit vor dem Haus. Das Haus ist an einem kleinen schönen Platz der mit Autos nicht erreicht werden kann. Parken an der Straße bei der Zrmanja ist kostenlos möglich, und von dort sind es vielleicht 50m bis zum Haus. Also gar kein Problem. Aber man sollte es wissen.

Beautifully restored stone house in the centre of town and very close to the river. Thoughtful touches throughout, we were very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay.

Both my wife and I agree - this is one of the most unique accommodations we've visited. We were drawn to this booking by the photos of the listing that showcase a traditional stone house with a contemporary twist. We heard from Dea and Nemanja, the owners, that the entire house was recently renovated by her sister's award-winning architecture studio with many well-thought-out details, so it was nice to hear a family got together around a project like this. The house is on two levels and you can rent the upper or lower floor. We were upstairs, and since the lower area was not occupied, Dea was kind to take us through the downstairs studio, too. We were just a tiny bit jealous of the lower part's direct entrance to the little outside yard, but on the upper floor, we enjoyed the higher ceilings and the natural color of the stone walls (since they are painted white downstairs). The house is situated on a little square with a big mulberry tree which adds to the charm, especially when you see people passing by and picking up fruit. Food at the hotel nearby was cheap so we didn't prepare much at home, just breakfast, even with the fully equipped kitchen. The owners were very helpful with local tips. I have heard about the beauties of Zrmanja and plenty of adventures it offers from my wife's father who is from this area. Many tours are offered just around the corner. If life takes us back here, we will definitely book a stay at the Stonehouse again! Thanks, Dea & Nemanja!
