Central Station Apartment

Apartamentams labai reikia generalinės tvarkos, indai buvo nešvarūs, viską reikėjo perplauti.

Useful location next to the station and near a park - there is also a dog park 10 minutes’ walk away (across the rail tracks). The apartment was generally comfortable and clean (apart from a few small things, like finding stale crisps in a saucepan!).

The pre-arrival process is lengthy, with lots of information to read and declarations to sign. The management company bombards you with ‘helpful’ information, like airport transfer details, which hadn’t been requested. They send many automated messages (including an initial WhatsApp that arrived at 01.30am 🫩). The front door opens just by pressing the call bell - no need for anyone to admit you, which feels a little insecure. Because it is so close to the station, and a couple of parks, there is a lot of noise from people passing through. There are also many itinerant people hanging around the area, some of whom can be aggressive. The nearby park is constantly covered in rubbish and broken glass - the municipal staff do their best to clear it but it’s renewed every day. The hob is impossible to use - the plates either do not heat up at all, or start to heat and then stop. The lift is ancient and barely big enough for two people - plus it has a double door mechanism that makes it difficult enough to enter with bags of shopping, let alone if you have mobility issues. It would be impossible for a wheelchair user. The concierge gave us mixed messages - one morning I took our older dog out for a walk and my husband took the younger; when I returned, the concierge told me ‘the condominium’ refused to let us use the lift with dogs. I told him this was a problem, because the older dog has hip problems and he relented. When my husband arrived back later, he was told to use only the stairs… 🤷‍♀️

The location of the apartment is excellent, it is located on the main street of Barija, very close to the train station and near the historical center of Barija. Check-in and check-out in the apartment is easy.Very spacious apartment.

Very good location, close to bus station and train station. Nice bar right outside the apartment too.

The apartment could have been a bit better in terms of little things like dish washer tablets, kitchen towel/rolls, which in fairness when contacted they did mention to buy our own which is fine, but maybe advertise this fact. Also coming to apartment at night time the place isn't signed and lit up that well.
