Assateague Inn 206-S

Nice, convenient location. Pretty view from 2nd floor. Very nice neighbors that are long term renters in the building. Nice staff. Easy contactless check in/out. Seaside Vacations (the management company) was quick to respond to all texts before and during stay. The unit itself (206) had recently been remodeled and we liked the choice of decor and artwork. The grandparents really liked it and plan to return to the location, but to a different unit.

The photos online of the unit must have been taken prior to remodel. Nothing is the same as the photo listing and that includes the furniture! This was important because the listing showed 2 couches and allows 4 people to stay. I booked this expecting that I could sleep on one couch and my young son the other couch, while the grandparents stay in the bedroom. This unit in fact only has one couch! That couch does open out, but hits the giant glass table and blocks access to the only entrance/exit. In the end, my son and I awkwardly slept on the one couch and stayed fewer nights with our visiting family. Also poor materials were used for the kitchen counter and it already had damage.
