Rincón del Mangle

Beautiful hostel—such a peaceful place. We spent five nights here completely relaxing. It’s very rustic, in the best way. We stayed in the dormitory, but it felt like having your own private space. Each bed is equipped with a mosquito net, personal light, and bedside table. Everything was very clean. Eddie was incredibly kind and helpful, giving us lots of information about tours and local contacts. There are lots of cute animals wandering around, and the artwork is stunning. You can cook in the well-equipped kitchen or get food there, which is really convenient. The journey to the hostel is part of the experience—you can arrive by canoe or walk through the mangroves, and I’d definitely recommend trying both! At 8pm the main lights go off, and you’ll wake up to birds singing, a cat purring, and maybe even a coconut falling. We had a very restful stay—thank you, Eddie

Ich mochte es total inmitten der Natur zu all den Geräuschen einzuschlafen und aufzuwachen. Dieser Ort wird von sehr sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen Menschen betrieben, die hier, wie man überall erkennen kann, sehr viel Zeit und Liebe reinstecken. Der Weg zum Strand macht Spaß! Entweder man wird auf dem Boot über den See geshuttelt oder man geht über Brücken durch die Mangroven und kann sogar Faultiere beobachten. Ich würde gerne wieder kommen :)

It is nice to be outside of Rincón if you are looking for tranquillity. We usually used the way on foot to the beaches and took a canoe on the way back. It is no problem to do that at night.

Belle chambre spacieuse, établissement au calme du village

L accès à la plage et au village est compliqué, soit il faut traverser la mangrove de jour et à marée basse pendant 20 minutes, soit il faut qu un pêcheur soit présent et vous fasse traverser ( 3000 à 5000 pesos par personne ) ce qui limite les déplacements quand il y a personne pour vous transporter notamment le soir. Les parois des chambres est en bois de deux cm, on entend toutes les conversations des voisins ainsi que chaque déplacement du dortoir situé à l étage. Le ménage est moyen avec des cheveux sur le sols et dans les serviettes, les ustensiles de cuisines sont sales. Les propriétaires sont complètement absents, seuls deux employés sont présents en début de journée.
