Villa Bella Atalaya

We have been here before and it was great , the pool area was great and the rooms are very spacious . Very close to all amenities (restaurants and bars ) 10 minutes walk to the El Balcon

The bushes and grass needed cutting but that’s all

Thank you for our stay. The place is close to the town and a short walk from the beach. I liked the various coffee makers, that was thoughtful. The views in the morning are gorgeous, over the mountains.

However, it’s more of a hostel vibe than an “exceptional villa” we were expecting. It’s rough around the edges, with lots of plastic, run down furniture and no thoughtful touches. Lots of things old and need a bit of love (the shower head is blocked with limescale, the bathroom and shower full of dirty corners, sadly saw a cockroach in one of the cupboards which we had to flush down the toilet). The sofas are covered with covers that have stains and holes, and I saw some faint stains on the bed covers too. Some drawers were missing, and there were some stains on the walls… it’s not really a cosy place if you pay attention to the details, we were disappointed as the reviews said “fabulous and exceptional”. I didn’t want to sit on some of the furniture outside because it just seemed dirty. Some ants in the balcony too. The location of the main road means constant traffic noise. That on its own wouldn’t be the owners’ fault of course but with everything else, it adds up. The pool had algae that was cleaned half way through our stay, that’s when we swam the first time. The Wi-Fi kept freezing too, I kept switching to 5G. Finally, there was no communication before we arrived with info — I called when we were at the gate. The place wasn’t ready for us until 5:30 due to them missing the booking or something (we got to the town at 3). I do appreciate we were allowed to check out later as a result. All in all, not the best stay and that is why I’m having to give it a 7. I don’t think it’s fair for the place to be called “exceptional” — we’ve stayed in some exceptional places over the years and this isn’t it. It was an okay stay (not that cheap either), but that was it.

Något begränsat med köksutrustning. Mycket bra med egen parkering men lite krångligt att komma in och ut om man har en något större bil då det står bilar parkerade nära utfarten.
