Jezabel's Retreat Jervis Bay

Jezabel's Retreat was the perfect place for a little getaway with my husband. Maureen (host) was great to communicate with and was very helpful in providing us with any information we needed. Location is excellent - a short walk to a lovely little beach and picnic area. The studio is furnished beautifully with a huge comfy bed and contains everything that you need. Highly recommend.

Fantastic, peaceful location just a short walk to a stunning beach. Fresh, comfortable and surprisingly spacious studio with comfy bed, great water pressure and plenty of hot water, neat kitchen. Absolutely loved the outdoor bath and shower!

The property is modern and stylish, just as shown in the photos, and very well equipped for a comfortable stay. The large fridge, kitchenware, oven, microwave and dishwasher were all convenient, and having both a washing machine and dryer was especially useful. The WiFi was fast and reliable, and the shower pressure was excellent. The outdoor stone bath is a beautiful feature and clearly a highlight of the property.

There were several details that did not meet expectations for the price point. The strong chemical cleaning smell on arrival, stained towels, and worn bedding affected the overall impression. The outdoor stone bath, while visually appealing, had extremely low water pressure, making it very difficult to use as intended. The amenities felt quite cheep and chemical-heavy. The key access system was somewhat confusing, as we collected the room key first but then needed a separate code to enter the main door. It might feel more intuitive if the lockbox were placed after the main entrance. Parking could also be tight depending on the vehicle. Overall, a little more attention to cleanliness, presentation and small details would make a big difference. As we stayed in late March, towards the end of summer, it may simply be that—at around $900 for two nights—my expectations were higher than they should have been.
