H&O Solmare by the Sea Apartment

We (our family of four) had a very pleasant stay in this modern, recently renovated appartment with a side sea view, spacious patio/veranda, comfortable and modern design furniture and appliances, new and all the necessary cutlery and kitchen utensils, comfortable beds and modern shower. It belongs in a rather dated complex of apartments but this did not bother us at all since the Appartment is newly renovated and modern and is situated at the end of the block of flats. In less than 50 metres from the Appartment, there was a quite big and clean swimming pool, in a gated area, and although it could be accessed with a code by all the residents of the complex of apartments it was not crowded at all and had a very relaxing terrace with umbrellas and sunbeds to be used free of charge. Right across the road, within 5 minutes walk, there is a lovely mainly sand beach area and a great promenade by the beach from where one can enjoy lovely sea views and the sunset.

Communication with the person in charge was not very satisfactory: 1)Although we were sent a message the previous night that check in instructions would be sent to us the next day and we were due to check in at 3.00pm the next day, I had received no message by 2.30pm and when I sent a message to ask for them the first answer was "you will receive them after 3.00" (!) but when they probably realized that this was not very helpful, at 2.35pm, they sent us the instructions through WhatsApp (The instructions were helpful and satisfactory). Contrary to the above, the check out instructions, most probably to make sure we left on time(!), were sent to us the previous night of our departure day . 2) I wrote a message to her on WhatsApp when we realized that we could not find the ceiling fan remote control for the 2nd bedroom (after having looked in the drawers of the bedside tables, the cupboards and under the beds of the bedroom and tried to use instead the remote controls for the other ceiling fans in the kitchen and master bedroom but they didn't work) . Although there was an A/C in the room, one of my children was not feeling very well so we preferred to use the ceiling fan instead but we couldn't do this .She sent us a number of messages with a lot of unhelpful suggestions and comments and her final message, the next morning was was "Goodmorning,it's necessary?" Not a good customer service at all!

The ease of checking in, all the information communicated clearly. The location is very central and right next to the supermarket.

I was very satisfied with the accommodation. The host was very kind, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The apartment was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The location is perfect – the beach is just across the road and can even be seen from the living room window. There is also a Lidl nearby. I would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again if I visit Paphos in the future.
