Loved being surrounded by countryside, and snow. Loved the Warmth, and the Sauna.

The beds and pillows, but we are not roo fussy. Just sore for a few days after we left.

Easy access to check-in. A fast response from the host. It's very nice that someone came to remove the pile of snow from the front and back doors.

Not enough utensils for cooking, e.g., a spatula for a frying pan. Curtains in each room will be nice for better sleep. A metal net outside the a/c units to prevent bugs from flying in

This is a ok place to stay except needs some fine tuning on quite a a few key points Location is good, yet note need a car

First~ There was a serious insect problem ~ throughout the several days there ~ numbers of insects continued to come out from unknown source ~ we killed approximately 40+ bugs..suspect these were in bibernation and activated once heating systems were on. It was a bad experience for my kids and wife..They were sometype of flying bugs. They even supplied a can of bug spray and an instruction saying it was fumigated monthly and to use bug spray if was an issue..however such fumigation should have 100% removed these and bug spray use inside a ski hut is not nice to do by ourselves! Another big issue was the Pats and Pan`s were substandard. We argued with the operator Kou for 2 hours over asking for a rice cooker and finally got one dropped off and the toaster for toast was absent and said could not supply. Frypan had teflon peeling off and was part of a cheap ¥4500 set you could buy at DMC hardware in Kutchan. I mean seriously guys ~ we are paying like USD 2000 a night and cannot cook there because owner cuts basic stuff like there + Bugs infestation ~ not good guys! Not acceptable ~ especially when few dining options in Rusutsu??? Another issue was internet was "on and off" the last 2 days..not a deal breaker Lastly ~ the last couple of days management tried to help out but seemed to not be able to do much. When we left I got zero response back from the operator to say thanks and sorry etc..However we got "a canned AI response" ~ automatically sent out asking us to give them a "9" or higher ..Ironically I would have ~ had the Management apologized for the issues they failed on ~however because they ignored me after leaving ~ I`m posting the 100% truth here. My overall view is this place, save above issues is nice to stay as long have a car ~ however we would not stay again due to these basic issues present..
