Green Dragon and Kitchen Pod - Sleeps 2 & Parking

Location was pleasant but road was noisy

Due to unforseen circumstances there was no food at the pub and the pub appeared closed when we returned at 9.45pm

Location was attractive in terms of scenery & the area was nicely decorated with fairy lights. Sufficient toilets & easy to share use of the shower

Noisy - between a main road & a railway line. Needed to bring own bedding which was fine as I’d done so as a precaution, but this could have been made clearer in the booking information.

When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by George and collette. We travelled quite far so got there around 8pm and we were still able to order home cooked food from the pub which was delicious and had a good variety to choose from. There is a lovely open forest in the pub which we used to sit around and enjoy drinks and catching up with friends which is exactly what you need in november 🥰 The location is great with walks and access to everything nearby and its also only a short drive to welshpool town. Facilities were perfect, clean with everything you needed. Electric sockets in pods, tea and coffee and kettle, lighting and heating. There is a shower block and toilet block a very short walk from the pods with a lovely warm shower, toilet roll always stocked and a sink to wash up All in all we couldn't have picked a more welcoming and warm place to stay. It felt more like a home from home. The hosts were absolutely amazing and attentive, we didnt want for anything despite the challenging weather conditions. Friendly, homely and good value for money. The sunshine outside the pod on the decking in the morning was fabulous. We sat outside for our morning coffee and cooked some egg butties on our camp stove. Delightful.

The hospitality was excellent. My partner was walking over 33 miles that day as part of a 12 day walk from Blandford Forum to Liverpool to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease. They provided him with a cooked meal later in the evening and a bath which was most welcomed.
