Lavatrice non funzionante, l’acqua dalla doccia usciva veramente molto piano, nell’armadio c’erano libri o comunque cose personali e infine il fattore della porta: potevi chiuderla internamente ma quando uscivi rimaneva aperta e potevi chiudere a chiave soltanto la porta del balcone.

This was our third time staying in Saranda. The apartment is in a great location; the tourist area of ​​the city is nearby, and the port is right across the street. Shops, cafes, and the beach are all close by. The apartment is clean and has a large balcony. That is where the advantages end.

The apartment doesn't have a kitchen. It was my mistake not to notice that in the description—that’s on me. What’s stranger, though, is that there’s a fridge but absolutely no tableware—no plates, forks, knives, or even a corkscrew (at least for wine or fruit). There is a large balcony with a view of the street and a small glimpse of the sea, but how are you supposed to sit out there in the evening with a glass of wine if there are no glasses or a corkscrew? )) It’s very odd; I’ve never seen anything like this in all my travels. Also, the woman who handed us the keys (we couldn't figure out exactly who she was) kept hanging around in the adjacent room just around the corner, pacing back and forth on the balcony. It seems this wasn't a proper apartment, but rather a partitioned-off room set up for tourists. We never did figure out what language she spoke; it was impossible to explain anything to her. The entrance to the unit was via the balcony, which was overlooked by a window from the neighboring apartment—where some naked people were sleeping with the curtains open. While the door leading from the staircase to the balcony could be locked, the balcony was easily accessible from that neighboring apartment through the window, and the sliding door to our unit couldn't be locked at all. And we had our documents and money in there. But the most unpleasant thing was the scheduled check-out time of 11:00 AM. At 9:45 AM, the host messaged us on WhatsApp saying we had to leave by 10:00 AM because the next guests had already arrived! Meanwhile, we were at the beach and had planned to check out at 11:00. All in all, it was a very strange experience—something I’ve never encountered in all my years of traveling. It wasn't terrible, but I’d recommend choosing a different place to stay; there are plenty of options in Saranda. On two previous occasions, we rented wonderful sea-view apartments f

Rent och fint, hade fin kyl och frys, fin badrum. Sängen var mjuk och bekväm. Den befinner sig centralt och nära färjehamnen. Det fanns många restauranger i närheten, men ändå var ganska lugnt på natten. Jag skulle definitivt komma tillbaka.

Det var lite svårt att kommunicera med ägarinnan, men hon var hjälpsam och trots språkets barier fixade allt som jag behövde.
