Serengeti

I enjoyed my two nights at Serengeti apartment and felt at home.. the apartment is quite secure and perfect for business travelers with fast Wi-Fi, reliable Ethernet, and comfortable workspace. Host was welcoming responsive and caring and I would highly recommended this place to corporate travelers visiting Mbeya

The apartments are in an absolutely beautiful area. The surrounding farms and mountains are lovely. It's quiet and the people in the area are friendly. The apartment was quite nice and comfortable. There were power outages affecting the wider area, but that's typical of Tanzania. The wifi (when the power was up) was exceptional. There are clothes lines to dry laundry. The water was hot (for short showers). The refridgerator was new. Gas stove. Cookware was acceptable. The kitchen had good utensils, knives, plates, and cups. The bed was comfortable. It's a reasonably short walk to the highway where you can grab transportation. The owners are really nice and helpful. They gave me lots of eggs, coffee packets, bread, margarine, and powdered milk for breakfasts.

Power outages were frequent, sometimes long. It might have been an anomaly, and not within the control of the property owners. There were a few cockroaches (a can of bug spray was provided). I think the kitchen walls around the stove could use a good scrub. Overall it was quite good, and while I'm rating this an 8/10, it's a 10/10 for Tanzania.
