House was very comfortable particularly with the air conditioning available. The property was extremely clean and well appointed. One of the two bathrooms available even has a jacuzzi bath. The garden and outdoor spaces are gorgeous and carefully looked after.The hosts were there upon arrival to greet us and explain things. They kept us informed of local events such as the weekly market. A very friendly and helpful couple. The house is a five minute walk to the lakeside then a further 3 or 4 minutes to the harbour and streets, shops and restaurants close by.

Only the sound of running water from the swimming pool in the adjacent property teasing us!

The views from the house are fantastic. We loved sitting at the table on the terrace looking out towards the lake and mountains. You can also see the castle in the centre of Torri del Benaco from the balcony and from the bottom of the garden. The pictures on the property listing are an accurate reflection of the house and it's facilities. There is a lot of space inside the house and the air conditioning helped keep us comfortable during the night. The house is in an ideal location to walk in to Torri del Benaco. The walk takes around 5 minutes and felt very safe. We liked that Torri del Benaco felt less touristy than some of the other towns on the lake and we enjoyed how relatively quiet it was, especially as we visited at the end of July/beginning of August. There is a gated entrance to the property that is shared with the house next door and private parking for two cars is possible if you use the garage and the driveway. The area feels so safe that we didn't use the garage and we just left the car on the driveway when we weren't using it. There is a small apartment block with a pool next door but this was extremely quiet and didn't bother us at all. We didn't feel overlooked as the apartments are not tall (ground floor and first floor) and the garden is well planted to create nice screening. I'm guessing but the majority of the apartments looked like the were privately owned and not holiday accommodation. The hosts were very friendly and came to welcome us on arrival and to see us off on departure. They gave us a very helpful tour of the property when we arrived so that we knew exactly where everything was. We thought the communication was excellent and the hosts made every effort to help us understand as we don't speak Italian. I would definitely recommend the property, the hosts and Torri del Benaco.

We loved the house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so there are only three small points to mention. Having to take the rubbish to the castle car park (5 mins walk, 2 min drive) was a little inconvenient. There are a selection of bins in the car park for you to separate your waste (plastic, card, glass etc) and I didn't enjoy having to do that. We've had to do this in other holiday accommodation in Europe before so it isn't a unique issue. I'd have loved for there to have been a coffee machine in the kitchen. We did use the moka pot in the cupboard but a coffee machine would have been more convenient. The electric gate didn't always work perfectly. The host did show us how to open the gate manually when we arrived so it wasn't a big problem, just a little bit inconvenient as it happened on a rainy day so I got a bit wet on my way out in the car. Other than those points though, our stay was really enjoyable.

Het huisje is praktisch ingedeeld en uitzonderlijk schoon. De eigenaren waren zeer vriendelijk en namen meermaals per week contact op om te vragen of alles naar wens is. Ze vroegen netjes of ze langs konden komen om enkele plantjes water te kunnen geven of dat wij dat even wouden doen. In dit geval hebben wij dat voor ze gedaan zodat zij niet naar het huisje hoeven te komen en voor ons kleine moeite.

Een buitenzwembad zou prettig zijn geweest met de temperaturen. Voor de rest helemaal in orde!
