This is an awesome fishing town. Kids play soccer and everyone seems to know each other. We were across the street from the old canning location of Ortiz! We enjoyed the beach.

Owner was very accommodating and answered quickly. Home was lovely and large with a renovated kitchen, fully equipped. One block from shopping and restaurants. There is a grocer next door. The bedrooms were smallish but the mattress and pillows were comfortable. Nice and quiet location.

The Basque Country of northern Spain is a delight. The two cities of Bilbao and Donostia are only an hour away and both well worth a visit. Ondarroa is charming with pixos bars and restaurants aplelenty. There are several good shops and a fine beach. In September there was no obvious sign of tourism, not even a souvenir shop.
The apartment was fantastic,clean,spacious with full amenities. We intend to return for a fortnight next year.
