Welcome to Mermaid Sunset! This beachy three-bedroom Duplex is the perfect place to stay for your next vacation getaway. When arriving to the home You will immediately feel the island vibe from the ocean colors and adornments of the home to the seashell driveway. This home is the definition of a beach home as it is only 200 steps from the beautiful powder white beaches of Anna Maria Island! The island has many equipment rental companies giving you access to more suitable and convenient transportation to get around the island. Restaurants are within walking distance or a short drive down the beach depending on what you're hungry for.
This vibe continues through to the interior of the home with the tropical decor that is spread throughout the open floor plan. The living room, dining room, and kitchen all combine with numerous windows to allow natural lighting to flood the home. The living room provides enough seating for you and all your guests to kick back and hang out or enjoy your favorite movies and shows altogether well the dining room just beside it offers a table with seating for up to eight people.
The kitchen comes equipped with all major appliances, as well as all the pots and pans needed for you to cook your favorite homemade meals. With the open floor plan, there is plenty of space so that you will not feel cramped in the kitchen, even if there's more than one chef in the family and plenty of counter space including the large kitchen island makes it easy to prep without missing out on any fun. First the good...location is amazing! One minute walk to the beach and beautiful sunsets. Pet friendly. Parkingv was great.The not so good... be aware you are sharing a duplex, each with a pool separated by a vinyl fence. The pools are literally 5 feet away from one another. The privacy was less than i imagined and sometimes a bit noisy. I also assumed that the "spa" would be a jazuzzi, with a higher temperature than the pool. This wasnt the case. Although the pool was heated to 86 degrees, it seemed weird that the spa was the same temp. Most of the pool and beach supplies were either broken, in poor condition or simply not there. Such as the wagon. The bad... my wife hated the sheets on the bed. I was ok with them, but they were quire rough. There are active termites above the oven. At first i thought there was salt or something similar spilling from the cabinets, but on further investigation it was termite poop. Coffee pot didnt work, used pods instead. Leak under the sink in kitchen and the overall cleanliness was poor. Overall the property has great potential, and we did enjoy our stay. It just needs some TLC , better quality bedding/pillows and a deep clean.
