We are from Jacksonville Florida and every year we do a family vacation. The last few times we were in the mountains. This time we wanted to be on the water. This house was perfect for our needs with fantastic views of the water! Everything was within walking distance as far as the park for the kids, the marina, restaurants and gift shops. My family had a good time out on our boat fishing and swimming. We even went to steinhatchee which was an 1 1/2 hrs away to fish, swim, and do some scalloping. We will most certainly return in the future! We hadn’t been to Cedar Key before but enjoyed it for sure!

This was a last minute booking due to a last minute cancellation of another property I had booked. A little more that I had anticipated spending, but one of the most well equipped, adequately stocked, clean, quiet & gorgeous views of all the places I’ve rented previously. Everything was in working order, communication was great, instructions were provided timely.Place was spacious, beds were comfortable & enough room for everyone to enjoy their space without feeling cramped. This was our first time visiting Cedar Key, and I loved it. Slow pace, the friendliest locals, good food. lots of fishing, kayaking & golf cart rental opportunities. This is a fishing village, there is a pier on the property, grills & cleaning station. Unit is on the third floor, no elevator. My daughter was underwhelmed by the small beach in town, but everyone’s amount of sand requirements are different. I walked the island each morning 2 miles or so easily, got breakfast in town or made breakfast when I returned.Get your groceries on the way in, the closest fully stocked market is about an hour away. The pool was nice (as stated, the hot tub is out of order); all appliances were up to date & functioning well. TVs were also in each bedroom (except the loft) & the living room. The town is still recovering from the 2024 hurricane, but the shops & restaurants that are open are so charming & wonderful, 1824 breakfast (they also sell local beef, which I made prime rib steak taco with.
