Escape to the Rocky River Cottage, a peaceful luxury retreat on 2 acres nestled within the rolling hills of Rock Island, Tennessee. Enjoy mountain and farmland views, creature comforts, evenings around the fire pit beneath the stars, and the perfect blend of modern comfort and outdoor adventure. Just minutes from Rock Island State Park and downtown McMinnville, you'll be close to waterfalls, hiking, kayaking, fishing, wineries, breweries, golf, and unforgettable Tennessee scenery.

This beautifully designed home comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests and offers plenty of room to relax after a day of adventure.

Please note: Pets are welcome ONLY in the garage and fenced pet area and are NOT permitted inside the home.
We've created a unique setup for guests traveling with pets. A $75 pet fee applies, with a maximum of two dogs unless approved in advance.
Unlike most vacation rentals, pets enjoy their own heated and cooled 400-square-foot garage retreat, complete with:
XL dog door that leads to a 20x15 fenced-in area

River Access & Kayaks:
Kayaks shown in photos are not included with the rental. However, nearby kayak rental options are available and we’re happy to share recommendations!

Only guests staying at the Cottage may use the community common area with river access.
River Levels: The river is typically low from mid-October through May due to Center Hill Dam operations. Water releases generally beginning in late May. Swimming and fishing are allowed year-round. Please swim and use amenities at your own risk.
Occupancy:
Maximum occupancy is 8 guests. Please message host for approval if additional guests will be visiting. Parking is somewhat limited. Example, bridal parties are common here, but only 8 guests may stay overnight at one time.
Firewood and Propane: we can't guarantee availability, however, we will reimburse guests if you have to purchase propane for the grill. Bundles of firewood can be purchased a few minutes away at the Rock Island Market at guests expense.
Family Amenities:
A Pack ’n Play and high chair are available. Baby gates are not provided. Furniture is not secured to wall.

This place was a beautiful place in a beautiful location. It had everything that we needed and more. The host was by far one of the best that I have ever had. She was responsive and helped me prepare for our stay, giving tips on using the amenities and things to do while we were there. I would give more than 5 stars if that was an option!

The property was absolutely amazing! We stayed for a short time but we had endless options for activities! We had so much fun and the layout was perfect for the group we had. We will definitely be back in the future! I just can’t say enough great things about this property.

The location was great. Loved the house. The owners were very responsive and proactively communicated and checked in on us during the stay. We've been staying in rentals for 15 years, this was our best experience.
