We’re Don and Tammy Murphy, your hosts. In 2021, we fell in love with this charming (run down) property and began a four-year renovation journey to restore the original 1947 home and transform the surrounding wooded acreage into a scenic, sunset-filled escape.
It’s been a true labor of love, and we were thrilled to begin welcoming guests in May 2025. We’ve poured our hearts into every detail to create a peaceful, cozy, and well-appointed getaway for families, couples, and friends alike.

Lovely property on a beautiful lake. Host was friendly and easily contactable. Stayed here for the weekend with our gal pals and Don was such a great A host. Comfortable vibe to relax and enjoy the nature around yourself while you watch one of the most breathtaking sunsets of your life.

Communication with the host was seamless. Check in and out smooth. Property exactly as described. Clean and nicely decorated. I’m sure it would have been a great place to hang outside but our weather didn’t cooperate. Nice location for a stay during West Point graduation.

Overall a very positive experience. The property matched the description quite well. We truly enjoyed sitting near lake watching wildlife. My daughter paddle boarded two mornings around the entire lake. Loved seeing the beaver dam and all the birds. Really liked the feeling of being out in the country, but also appreciated being close enough to everything if we wanted. Thanks for the stay!
