Rock Pile at Speedboat Beach - AC & Hot Tub

The all wood house abounds with rustic charm and the views are breathtaking, all worth the price of admission alone. There are so many cool nooks and crannies that offer various views of the lake and make for wonderful places to either eat a meal or sip a morning coffee, watching either the sunrise or the sunset, both of which are visible from the house since it faces south. The house is around the corner from an adorable little Cove/beach. There are a few drawbacks – though the linens and towels are high grade, the beds are uncomfortable, all of the shades are a bit beat up and therefore difficult to use and though the aging couch is really quite comfortable, it needs an awfully good dusting. There are 49 steps leading up to the main house and some of the old wood railing is rather rough making it splinter prone. There is a problem with the shower in the main house in that the Frosted glass is worn off in places, making it easy to look in or out of the shower onto the front porch. Would make family gatherings, rather awkward. I did report this to the manager, and she said she would have maintenance look at that issue and the shades.. All in all, however, we had an amazing stay and would definitely return.
