Bonito diseño, limpio, ordenado. Personal amable. El desayuno muy bueno.

Las escaleras a la habitación superior son incomodas y un tanto peligrosas, no hay pasamanos o barandilla. A la habitación superior le falta algún mueble para poner las cosas (a falta de closet), falta espejo. En el nivel inferior todo muy bonito.

Location, staff, coffee shop. Breakfast was good and the view. Cleaners did great. Staff listened to us and went the extra mile when we needed help.

We stayed at the Casa de Arbol apartment. One guest fell down because no handrail going up to 2nd bedroom, this wouldn't work in the US...it would be a violation. Suggest a handrail to cover first few steps.

El apartamento la concina no era tan completa.

Casa del Arbol is a one-off apartment that is managed by the Selah Hotel. The staff at reception were kind folks and they texted us every day to ask if we needed cleaning, towels, etc. The breakfast that was included was on the top floor of the hotel, the rooftop, which was nice to grab a quick bite before getting into the day. The actual apartment itself was spacious, if sparse. I was traveling with my girl friend and had more than enough room for the two of us, as there was a double bed on the main floor and then two single beds on the lofted upper floor. The apartment itself was quite dusty upon arrival, though, and there are not many, if any, cleaning supplies within to self clean. We also had to ask the Selah hotel staff for hangers, as there were none. The location was pretty convenient to many things in Antigua, though it was quite loud outside.

The bathroom was the main point of frustration for us. The apartment is above a laundromat and I believe that when laundry is running downstairs, the water pressure is almost non-existent upstairs for the apartment. From both the kitchen sink and bathroom sink to the shower, it was unpredictable when it wouldn't be running. I texted the hotel staff about it and they were like, yeah, low water pressure happens... which, may be common for them, but it should be something that folks are warned about. Outside of this, in the first few hours of arriving, the toilet was not flushing. Being capable adults, we took the back off the toilet to see if we could pinpoint the problem -- it was the chain and the flapper. After trial and error that first day, we did eventually get it fixed ourselves. An additional point -- there are no hooks to hang towels on anywhere, including the bathroom. Something to more note -- the kitchen has a bar to stand and eat at, with some chairs to hang out in, but its not set up for communal dining.
