La Maison du Sentier - Foyer et Mt Porphyre

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was very well equipped and had everything we needed. The two hosts were super responsive and thoughtful, and we felt very well taken care of. We stayed for two nights, and the location was perfect — very close to the mountains. It’s a pity that we visited in the off-season, otherwise we could have seen the snowy ski slopes right from the house!

If you plan to stay here and visit Gaspé, it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours by car, so it’s not the most convenient location. However, the mountain views in autumn are beautiful. Once you leave the village, there’s no cellphone signal, so it’s best to download the map in advance. It seems this property was previously listed on Airbnb. The hosts sent us some house rules, including cleaning instructions. Our group tidied up before leaving and returned the place to its original condition. I was a bit confused because, unlike Airbnb, most Booking listings usually don’t require guests to do cleaning.
