Location was so beautiful. The perfect view to catch the sunset which we did every night. Wolfie is the owners dog who is the cutest & friendliest furbie. If you stay here please say hi to him - he likes to lay on the deck in the mornings & look at the rabbits next door lol. Everything was perfect on arrival. Our host was very helpful & made communication so easy if we had questions. The beds were super comfy & there was plenty of extra shower towels, blankets etc. So many beautiful nearby beaches that we enjoyed. A cafe and fish & chips place about 2 mins down the road too that was also nice. Loved everything about our stay! Loved that we were able to just disconnect from our phones & just be present and enjoy each other’s company with stunning mountain & ocean views. I literally miss the smell of the ocean breeze lol. If we’re ever in Whangarei Heads again, I’ll be sure to check if this place is available. Thank you for having us!

The house is wonderfully appointed, with a few small things well thought out- heated towel rails, book ledges/cubbyholes above the bunks, USB-A ports in the power points in the bedrooms heat pumps in the rooms. The beds are comfy, if very soft, the towels thick and fluffy. There are many sliding doors that you can open and air the house no matter which way the breeze is blowing. There's alot of natural light, which is nice. We were extremely comfortable here..it's a shame the weather wasn't nicer as we would've spent more time dining on the deck. Charlie was extremely helpful with some pre travel questions, even taking photos for me, and was accommodating when we needed assistance after a medical event. Wolf, Charlie's dog, is a friendly dog who loves to come and visit- maybe because he knew he'd get lots and lots of pats from me and my family. The kids loved him.

We're probably nit picking here- We just needed a bit more information about the workings of the house on arrival. The front door has an electronic code lock and we weren't provided this on arrival- (Charlie lives next door so it wasn't hard to ask for this) Some info regarding where to put rubbish when the bin was full and where to put recycling would help.
