The closeness to lots of different restaurants, pubs, interesting places, markets, shops etc and of course literally on the doorstep of Sadlers Wells theatre, about 40 yards away, which was amazing. Close enough to the British Museum to meander down for a day out. User ride minutes from lots of London sightseeing areas. I'm glad I never brought my car though. Not a great idea, better to use ubers and public transport. The bed was a big sleigh style bed and really comfy, with lovely crisp clean sheets and a light duvet, perfect and the room was really clean. The local shops and people were really nice, friendly and helpful, as was the owner. The owner responded almost immediately to any queries, and couldn't have been more helpful. The Sasa restaurant is 1 minute away across the road and fantastic food, and there is an amazing little takeaway virtually at the bottom of the steps of the house, so we were spoiled for choice for places to eat and drink. Loads of little coffee shops, old style pub the Red Lion I think it was called, had a little beer garden, our scouse accents instigated quite a few questions and conversations! Loved the little bijou bathroom and shower. We did originally think that we would be sharing a bathroom so that was an amazing little boost. The cooler in the room was big and took up quite a bit of space but it worked really well because it was hot weather outside. So I'll definitely be booking here again, as soon as we can get more time off work!

There was hanging rails or drawers in the room, we compromised and we used the shelves and hung our dresses from the shelf on hangers but we were worried about damage. We could have used the shower door rail, but I've only just thought of that! So for our tee-shirts, undies, shoes etc we had to use our cases. Not a biggie and we knew that the rooms were kind of 'in progress' so think they were just oversights to be honest, and it didn't impact detrimentally at all on our stay. No dressing table but there was two large tables so we used one of them and a hand mirror and we also used the lit up mirror above the sink. So again, no huge problem. There was no cutlery or cups in the room when we first got there, although there was a microwave and a fridge, so not that onerous. And the owner was immediately responsive when we asked, so not really a big issue at all. I think though if any of your party had access issues then the stairs would be quite difficult and there is no lift that we could see as the room is in a lovely old house on the second floor. Great if you are getting your steps in though. 😁

Location. New en-suite bath was good. Communication with staff was good.

Four security locks at three points before arriving at room after climbing two narrow flights of steps. Very dusty on some surfaces, although the floors of the room and bathroom were clean. Very basic furniture.
