Grant location and I liked the outside. Very nice and polite guards.

The location is excellent, with easy access to Rivonia and close to all the main amenities. The apartment itself was spotless and beautifully maintained, with high-quality fixtures that made the stay very comfortable. Being on the ground floor was a big plus for convenience, and the balcony was a lovely bonus for relaxing. I briefly met the host, Sydney, who is truly an amazing soul—warm, welcoming, and attentive. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I’d happily return.

The entry and exit process is managed by onsite security, but at times the guard leaves the post, causing frustrating delays. I’m not sure why residents and tenants are no longer able to use their own remotes to open the gate, as this would be much more convenient. One morning, I was rushing to catch a flight and ended up waiting nearly 15 minutes for the guard to return. When I eventually hooted to get his attention, he arrived only to scold me for hooting—quite an odd experience. Another drawback is the noise from the nearby apartments under construction, along with the occasional smell of weed drifting over when workers are onsite. That said, these issues are external and don’t reflect negatively on Sandton Serenity itself. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay, and despite those inconveniences, I would happily book there again.
