Located just a short stroll from Sugarloaf Marina, this spacious and inviting 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is designed for both relaxation and adventure. With easy access to the shimmering waters of Shasta Lake, it’s an ideal destination for families, friends, and groups seeking a memorable getaway.
The home comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests (max of 9 adults), with room for 3 adults per bedroom, plus children under 16. Whether you're gathering with family or friends, there’s plenty of space for everyone to unwind and enjoy quality time together. For indoor fun, the 3-car garage has been transformed into a game room, complete with billiards, ping pong, arcade basketball, and more, offering endless entertainment for both kids and adults. The fully equipped kitchen makes meal prep a breeze, and after a day of lake adventures, you can gather around the dining table or sink into the cozy living room sofa to relax with a movie.
Step out onto the spacious deck and take in stunning views of Shasta Lake. It’s the perfect spot to BBQ, enjoy an evening around the gas firepit, or simply soak in the peaceful surroundings. Water enthusiasts will love the easy access to the lake just minutes away at Sugarloaf Marina. Whether you’re into wakeboarding, fishing, kayaking, or simply floating in the calm waters, Shasta Lake offers something for everyone. We even provide two kayaks and a paddleboard for your use during your stay!
For those seeking outdoor adventures beyond the water, there are nearby hiking trails, mountain biking paths, and off-roading opportunities. The Lake Shasta Caverns are just a 20-minute drive away, offering a fascinating natural wonder to explore. In the winter, guests can enjoy skiing and snowboarding at the Mt. Shasta Ski Park, just an hour’s drive from the home.
Retreat #8 is situated on a peaceful cul-de-sac in a family-friendly neighborhood. It’s part of a small street of Shasta Lakeshore Retreat vacation homes, with eight other rentals nearby, making it possible to accommodate over 100 guests in total – perfect for larger gatherings or reunions. Parking is available for up to three vehicles on the property, with additional parking at Sugarloaf Marina. Guests have full access to the home and the game room, though please note that access to the main deck is via steep stairs.
We’re also a dog-friendly home (sorry, no cats), so feel free to bring your furry companions along for just $95 per pet, per stay. At Retreat #8, relaxation and adventure come together for an unforgettable Shasta Lake getaway. We look forward to welcoming you and helping create the perfect setting for your vacation!

We had such a wonderful family vacation! The house was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our entire group. The bunk beds in the bedrooms made it easy for everyone to have a place to sleep, which was perfect for our family.
The updated bathrooms were a really nice touch and added to the overall comfort of our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils, cookware, and essentials we needed to prepare meals. There were also plenty of games for everyone to enjoy, and the game room downstairs was a huge hit with the kids—it kept them entertained for hours.
The location was excellent—just around the corner from Sugarloaf Marina, making it convenient to get out on the water. Parking was a little tricky at first, but we were able to make it work without much trouble.
Two thing to note,
1: It is mostly uphill and then a staircases to get in the house so if you have anyone with mobility issues it could be challenging. (Tip: You could enter from the back of the house to avoid the main staircase).
2: The stove is an electric induction cooktop, so will ONLY works with induction-compatible pots and pans, but they do have in the bottom drawer. Once we figured that out, it wasn’t an issue.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely book this house again!

We loved our stay! The bedrooms were spacious and the deck and garage play area were prefect for our family reunion! It kept the kids busy! (We rented multiple homes and used these places to gather) . What a beautiful home. Love the updated bathrooms!
They communicated well with us! We had a wonderful time! The water toys were also a plus to use. Thank you!!!

We stayed in cabin 8 this trip. Simply delightful stay. The game room was a blast with the basketball hoops and ping pong. AC worked great on the hot days. Bathrooms are nicely updated and very functional. Beds are very nice also. Greatly enjoyed the deck with lake views.
