Yellowstone Riverview Retreat
Yellowstone Riverview Retreat is a tastefully furnished lodge-style home located just three miles north of the original entrance to Yellowstone National Park in Gardiner, Montana. This property offers guests the perfect setting for fishing, photography, wildlife observation, family gatherings, or simply relaxing along the banks of the Yellowstone River, with stunning views of Yellowstone Park just across the water.
Property Features
Set on three acres surrounded by mature trees, the retreat boasts a spacious and private backyard. Highlights include a covered gazebo with a rock fireplace and a deck overlooking the Yellowstone River, as well as apple and cherry trees. The expansive yard provides ample space for outdoor activities, including a concrete dance floor ideal for family get-togethers.
Accommodations
The house features two bedrooms: the master includes a king bed, while the second bedroom offers a queen bed and a bunk bed with a full-sized lower bunk and a single upper bunk. There is one full bathroom equipped with a shower-tub combination, two sinks, and handicap bars for added accessibility. Additionally, there is a half bathroom (toilet and sink) located conveniently near the back door for easy access from outside.
Living Spaces
Guests can relax in the large living room, which includes a 54-inch TV with satellite service. The dining area is equipped with a table that seats eight and a counter bar with seating for three. The fully stocked kitchen provides all amenities needed for meal preparation, including coffee, tea, sugar, spices, flour, ketchup, and more. Essential supplies such as toilet paper and soaps (excluding hair products) are also provided. A washer and dryer with detergent are available for guest use. Bear spray is supplied for hiking excursions.
Outdoor Amenities
The backyard features a deck furnished with a table and chairs, a barbecue grill, and ample space for activities like soccer. The gazebo and deck over the river offer a serene spot to unwind, while the concrete dance floor off the gazebo is perfect for family events.
Location and Wildlife
Located far enough from town to ensure peace and quiet, yet close enough for convenient access to supplies, the retreat offers a tranquil setting for guests. Depending on the season, wildlife such as mule deer, elk, buffalo, grizzly and black bears, may be seen in the yard.

Perfect stay! Sandie, the host, was awesome!! Very friendly and helpful. She made suggestions on where to eat, etc. The house was very clean and had everything we could possibly need! The beds were very comfortable.

Property was amazing! Several four legged visitors, which was very cool! House was well stocked with everything we needed and the location close to the entrance to the park was perfect for our trip!

We stayed 3 nights and could easily have stayed longer. The home is comfortable in every way. Comfortable beds, very clean, comfortable couches, well stocked, great water pressure, peaceful setting. Of course, the backyard and river view is priceless. One evening 11 elks joined us. Very fun to watch. The owner graciously reached out to let us know a black bear was spotted on the yard so we’d be in the lookout. We did not see a bear, but would have been fun to observe. We used the house as a home base for Paradise Valley and the eastern part of the Park. We first rented a cabin at the Northeast Entrance so used that as a base for the Lamar Valley and Beartooth Highway. The stays were complimentary. We enjoyed both immensely. Highly recommend.

Awesome house and host! Very comfortable and pleasant home. Very well equipped including unexpected extras such as folding chairs and ice chest to take into the park. Quiet and beautiful location. We enjoyed the riverside patio and the wildlife that meandered through everyday. Sandy is a great host, very attentive and replies in a timely manner. Highly recommend this home and host.
