About this cabin rental

Great cabin located 2 miles north of Forks on the world famous Sol Duc River. This very comfortable, all cedar cabin, has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, 1 bathroom with a shower/tub combination, Direct TV, wireless internet, is fully furnished and has a washer and dryer. We're close to the Olympic National Park's greatest attractions; the Hoh Rain Forest and it's ancient, moss covered trees, the numerous ocean beaches (2nd Beach is our favorite), Sol Duc Hot Springs, and the rugged Northwest Coast area along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Right here on the river, eagles soar overhead, otters play, and fish migrate home.

JoAnn's cabin on the river was the perfect clean, cozy and comfortable base camp for our 3-day exploration of the nearby rainforests, beaches and - of course - the still lingering Twighlight vibe of downtown Forks. Despite the rainy weather that kept us indoors, the country setting, rustic interior appointments and comfy furniture of the cabin allowed for enjoyable and relaxing mornings and evenings. JoAnn's communication ahead of and during our visit was thorough and helpful. Thank you for sharing your peaceful cabin.

Great for a quick getaway

Overall the stay was pleasant and uneventful until our last night. There was a big rain - wind storm that resulted in our power going out at 6pm. We were without power, heat and water which resulted in us going to bed at 7pm. The owner did text me early in the morning around 5am and apologized for the inconvenience. She did state that the neighbor should have turned on the generator for the water pump, but they did not. we had no toilet facilities all night. She also stated that these power outages happen quite frequently. Our question is... if this happens frequently why is there not a Generac that starts up automatically during these outages. Without heat and toilet facilities it was a very uncomfortable night. We were a bit surprised that we were not compensated for the last day we were there since check in is at 4pm . We left the cabin at 6am on Saturday morning

Three adults visited in early September to explore the Olympic National Forest. Great central location for the local sights. The cabin was perfect for our small group. Very comfortable beds, cozy living room, quiet location. Very easy check in and great communication with the host JoAnne.

It was small and quaint but it was clean, quiet and had everything you need. We explored the park during the day and came back to the cabin to refresh at night. We enjoyed sitting by the river and relaxing after dinner. The bed was comfortable and the windows opened (with screens) to get a good cool cross breeze at night. The bathroom was pretty small, but we managed. It was a great stay that I would recommend!

We had a lovely stay in Joann's cabin. It had everything we needed, a well-stocked kitchen with everything to cook full meals and a nice little outside table to enjoy the weather by the river. We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this home on the Sol Doc river. It was easy to access all of the Olympic National Park beauty (forest, ocean, etc). The home had all we needed to prepare our meals and relax after a busy day. Unlike some places I've stayed, the property provided all of the little items we needed such as paper towels, sponges, dish soap, etc. I highly recommend this home if you are visiting the Olympic Peninsula.

The cabin was pretty easy to find and close to the heart of Forks. It was so cozy and the perfect size for partners or a small group of friends. It had a beautiful view of the river. The cabin was very clean and safe. It was up to date and even better than the pictures showed with wifi.

The place was very comfortable, has excellent privacy and is close to town. The cabin is spacious, well provisioned, clean and has a picture perfect view of the river. I really liked the giant back yard and a good trail to the river. Most importantly, the owners went out of their way to provide complete privacy while making sure they would quickly respond to any of our requests. That is our third trip to Forks and our first staying there. I'll definitely stay there again.

Comfy, clean, cozy cabin near Forks. Randy was a great host and has an interesting history in the area. Near Hoh rainforest entrance to ONP and the northwest coast - Cape Flattery is a must visit. Rialto Beach is good too!

The house is set back but right off the main road which makes travel quick and convenient. The house is very clean and quiet. It was situated closer to the main house than expected but still felt private. Overall nice place to stay to visit the beaches and the rainforests of Olympic.

My daughter and I spent 4 fabulous days in the Olympic Peninsula. A feast for the eyes! This property was a perfectly welcoming and comfortable place to relax after our eventful days, it was fully equipped for making our meals with tasteful kitchenware. We enjoyed the rustic but elegant decor and the view from the massive windows of the river was spectacular! Can't wait to return one day! We would highly recommend this property!

We had a lovely time staying at this property. At first, we were a little concerned about privacy because the host's house is right next door, but she was incredibly sensitive to our privacy and we didn't feel 'spied upon' at all. The cabin was comfortable, and was very well equipped with everything we needed, including kitchen ware, spices, extra paper products and plenty of towels. And to top it off, what a beautiful riverfront location! We had dinner overlooking the river each night. Highly recommended!

This cabin was so comfortable and clean. We loved the comfortable recliner couches after we returned from hiking. The cabin has an updated and rustic charm. The river was beautiful, wildlife was present (eagles and blue jays) When I return to the area, this will be my absolute choice to stay. We also felt safe staying as the neighbor cabin was the owner. This cabin is awesome. The Sol Duc river runs right behind it and there is a great little sitting spot to relax and unwind after a long day hiking the NP. The cabin has been updated some since the pictures on the listing and has 3 huge windows in the main living area that give you a beautiful view of the nature around the cabin. It's located just about 5 min North of down town Forks so it's pretty central for most of what Olympic NP has to offer. The house is on shared property with another house that's pretty close by. But we didn't find this a problem at all as we never even saw anyone else really. Great property that we would definitely stay in again.

The cabin was perfect for our family of 3. Located right next to the Sol Duc River and close to Forks, La Push and its beaches and short drives to Hoh Rainforest, Lake Crescent, and Sol Duc Falls / Hot Springs Resort. Not too far from Shi Shi Beach / Cape Flattery (worth the drive). Overall perfect location to see most of Olympic National Park and Forest. The cabin is well equipped to cook, very nice and cookware and everything you need to cook in or on the grill. Also, very close to lots of restaurants in Forks or its stores, very nice grocery store in town with all you need. JoAnn and Randy are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming! We would love to stay here again and recommend the location to anyone wanting a peaceful retreat next to the river or looking to stay somewhere in the middle to see all the sights.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. The sound of the river is really relaxing. The location was great for the different hikes/trips we planned around ONP!
