We were in the Dallas area for my nephew's wedding and the Refuge at the Lake worked out great for 8 people from age 2 to 85. One of the reasons we booked the property was that one person had recent knee surgery and another had other mobility issues. Having two rooms on the first floor worked out great but a second bathroom on this floor would have reduced congestion when getting ready for the wedding. We also appreciated that the property was very clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies and towels. The indoor and outdoor spaces for family time was also excellent with great views of the lake. Highly recommended!

This place was an absolute gem. We stayed for three nights and absolutely enjoyed it. Markus was an amazing host and made sure to check in on us. The home was tucked back on a dead end so it felt very private and quiet. Saw deer roaming around the property in the morning while having coffee on the back patio. The house had lots of unique designs and cozy bedrooms. You will not be disappointed…
