Modern property in a good location for Hayle shops and restaurants. Communication was good and they allowed us to enter early as we were already staying in Hayle. The property was clean but was let down by the Sofa which was extremely stained making it unpleasant to sit on.

Towans Retreat makes a great base for exploring Hayle and the surrounding area. There are brilliant beaches nearby and it’s very easy to catch a train to St Ives. Plenty of good places to eat and drink nearby and an Asda supermarket across the road. The house is comfortable with plenty of space.

Myself and my husband spent 6 nights at this lovely house and it had everything in it you need for your holiday. It’s a two double bedroom terraced property with space for one car outside. It’s has a Dishwasher, washing machine, hairdryer, so you don’t need to pack the extra little things. Its a short walk to the beach, animal sanctuary and all the local shops. Just across the road there is a large Asda too. I’m Vegan and by the Asda car park there is a lovely lady who has a Vegan van of the most amazing food that I recommend everyone to try. Even if you’re not a Vegan it’s a must try. She has a second van to sit in which is spotless and really lovely.

All communication & information was thorough & timely. Parking was great, the house was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for our 5 day stay. The cooking facilities were well appointed. We appreciated the sitting out space in the beautiful weather we had. Shopping was easy with a supermarket just across the road and shops within walking distance. We had some lovely walks again to a cafe & pub for lunches and evening meals.

An ideal location to explore Cornwall. The property was well equipped with everything we needed. We had one issue on arrival, the toilet seat was loose, but this was replaced very quickly after contacting the agent. The only other issue was the dishwasher had not been cleaned, a quick trip to the supermarket over the road and a wash cycle soon put this right.

New build terrance house in Hayle decorated in a stylish on trend minimal way, almost across the street from Asda, close to the A30, St. Ives, Penzance etc. 15-20 minutes or so walk to the beach through the failed North Quay development. Bus stop a few minutes walk, £4 return (June24) to St. Ives without the stress of driving-parking etc. Train station also walkable. The house was just like the photo's, except the cream couch is starting to look a bit dirty, maybe not the best colour for a holiday rental. Two large bedrooms with minimal stylish furniture, bed was comfortable, bathroom is on the smaller size leaving space between the bath and toilet for a small sink (not the end of the world if you are a larger build you might find it cramped) The builders didn't put any down lights above the kitchen worktop so it's a bit dark (not a big deal, just a little thing) The house has large windows at the front and back, (instructions included on how to open them), the front getting morning sunshine and the back afternoon sunshine, being a well insulated new build, this does heat the house. During my stay I had nice warm weather and after a day at the beach the house was pretty hot on my return even leaving all the blinds closed and upstairs windows open, I imagine if there is ever hot weather it will be hard to sleep without a fan in the bedrooms. Things I would have liked. instructions on how to open the back door (it's a bit tricky) (to open turn the handle anticlockwise at the same time as the key clockwise) - to lock do the reverse. I had to message to figure it out, felt really stupid but the handle felt as if it could snap quite easily. A vacuum cleaner, brushes are provided, a vacuum would have helped me leave the place a bit cleaner. Curtains-blinds on the rear window, door and front door. The house is quite private at the back but there is a public footpath on a hill behind the property and you can see into the house from there. removal of a big high chair (when not needed), takes up space and reminded me of my work, I didn't want that I was on holiday. Although the house itself is very nice, I thought maybe it was priced a little high for Hayle. I normally stay in Newquay which is more of a tourist town and spend less on similar properties. Hayle is a good location for getting around, the town itself is a little rough around the edges. Litter all over near Asda, litter all through the dunes to get to the beach. I actually prefer places that are a bit rough around the edges, St Ives is like a Disney version on Cornwall, after about 10 minutes in St Ives I'm ready to leave. Just be aware in you want the "monied" - "pretty" - "pristine" Carbis bay - St. Ives feel you won't get it in Hayle. Would I stay in this house again, definitely if I could afford it. Would I recommend the location, yes unless you want that "pretty pristine St. Ives Cornish town look" then you might be disappointed by Hayle. That's not to say Hayle is rough or dangerous, I didn't get that vibe it's just not a pretty looked after tourist town like it's neighbours.

The Location is really fantastic. Just two walking minutes to a very big supermarket - open daily. The house is really new but a few things really bothered us. Not a single wardrobe or cabinet available. The small garden has been completely filled up with small stones - plants and weed everywhere - only 2 sqm pavement…so it was absolutely impossible to sit outside for our family. Beds were quite comfortable and the kitchen modern. Bring your own hairdryer as no one is available. Cleanliness was good at first sight, but unfortunately we took a look below the wooden carpet and the couch by mistake.
