About this house rental
We are located just 4 kilometers from Orotina, a small town with good restaurants and supermarkets, immersed in the Tropical Forest, a quiet place full of peace for nature lovers, where you can listen to the singing of a great variety of birds that will relax and make you enjoy the sunrises. We are only 15 minutes from the La Eco Villa Project, 45 minutes from SJO Airport, 45 minutes from Carara National Park, 1 hour from Jaco Beach, Hermosa and Blanca Beach by car.
Our property has a wide variety of fruit trees that attract many species of wildlife, you can walk and meet nature, enjoy a walk across on the river and relax in its beautiful waters.
We can also provide typical Costa Rican meals and can organize tours to turtle island, choco tour, quadricycle excursions at your request
We are just 5 minutes from the Fantasia Water Park, for excursions that can take you a full day, plan to visit the Manuel Antonio National Park, a place of exotic white sand beaches and beautiful waters or visit the Monteverde National Park inverse on the tropical cloud forest. With attractions such as the hanging bridges that will take you through the domes of the forest trees.

We have a nice pool so you can cool off and relax, visit the river that limits the property where you can immerse yourself in a diversity of Flora and Fauna.

As a family of 3 adults, we enjoyed our stay at Roy's guest house. We chose it in part for its more rural setting though it is very close to town. We had hoped to use the large pool and hiking trails at the Adventist camp next door, but it was closed due a large event they were holding. We were pleased that the event was not noisy and Roy's place stayed quiet and peaceful. The guest house is some distance from the main house which is located on the other side of the pool. It is quite compact. It has a good fridge, washer, convection stove top and comfortable furnishings apart from the bunk bed mattresses - might be OK just for small children. There are fans and screens in the windows and bedroom patio door. We thought the ventilation of the house could be improved if there were screens in the living room patio door and back door so the air could flow through. It was hot so the lack of hot water wasn't too much of an issue. The pool and a hammock area in the trees were lovely places to cool off. We enjoyed walking around Roy's property - nice fruit trees. We really enjoyed the fresh orange juice Roy's son brought to us! The paths along the river were not open due to debris that needed to be cleared from a storm. Roy and his family were friendly, knowledgeable, kind and very helpful and we enjoyed our visits with them. They offer authentic Costa Rican meals for guests and we regret not taking them up on that. Thank you Roy & family!
