Living Spaces:
With an open and airy floor plan, everything in this home is conveniently situated for single-floor living. The living space is open and inviting, with a set of accent chairs in front of the cozy wood-burning stove. It’s the perfect spot to sit and chat with a loved one, read a best seller, sip a cup of tea, or stoke a fire on a chilly eve.
You`ll want to pause in the carefully tailored spaces throughout this home. The living room area will welcome you to sink into the comfy couch with a glass of wine. The room is flooded with natural light through the windows and sliding patio doors with panoramic mountain views.
Snuggle up for a movie on the wall-mounted flatscreen, or choose a game from the many options.
Little ones have also been considered throughout the space; with a mini game table, toys, books, a pack-n-play, and lots of family-friendly games, there is something for all family members to enjoy.
In the garage, there is more room to spread out and enjoy a friendly game of foosball or ping pong.
Kitchen & Dining:
Rounding out the open-concept floor plan is the beautifully updated kitchen with a centerpiece dining island large enough to seat seven or more on stools.
This darling country kitchen has every appliance and cookware amenity to inspire a home-cooked meal: an oversized farmhouse sink, dishwasher, gas range, microwave, a French door fridge with drawer freezer, a coffee maker, water boiler, toaster, Kitchenaid mixer, Instant Pot, and a blender.
Finding cookware and dinnerware is a breeze with conveniently labeled shelves. Basics like olive oil, sugar, salt, pepper, a set of 18 different spices, coffee, and tea are provided. The long counter offers plenty of space to spread out and feed a group.
Take your meal al fresco and make dinner on the large propane grill on the patio. The comfy outdoor table has room for six.
Bedrooms & Baths:
The bedrooms and bathrooms in this home are thoughtfully accented with comfortable and cozy touches. The fresh decor produces tranquil surroundings with a relaxed feel. Guests will be sure to have restful nights on high-quality memory foam mattresses and quality cotton linens. The home can accommodate up to nine guests in the three bedrooms.
The primary bedroom offers a king bed with an ensuite bathroom with a shower. Guests can utilize the designated workspace for some remote work while away. The walk-in closet provides plenty of space to put clothes away and settle in. There is an oversized armchair that can extend to a twin bed and room for up to two pack-n-plays with mattresses. The bedroom opens to the patio path leading to the hot tub.
Bedroom two has a queen-size bed and daybed that opens to a queen for additional sleeping space. Bedroom three has a king bed and walk-in closet. Bedrooms two and three share a second full bathroom with a shower-bath.
Guests will also have use of the washer/dryer and iron/ironing board.
Outdoor Amenities:
The setting of this home is magical: nestled into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains on five secluded acres with rolling rocky terrain accented by wildflower meadows and scattered trees. A 200-year-old live oak keeps watch over the homestead connecting past and present. Children will love the wooden playset, while everyone will love the patio providing an outdoor living area and hot tub for soothing soaks. The views surrounding the home are exquisite. Enjoy the sunrise from the mountains in the east and go to rest in the mountains to the west.
While our home is located within close proximity of Yosemite, it is not part of it, so our guests will be able to enjoy the beauty of the area at their leisure.

The host is happy to recommend a private chef who can come to the property for special events such as birthday celebrations, anniversaries, and other occasions. The host will also share suggestions for area activities, shopping, and restaurants to visit.
Pets are welcome: guests are required to pick up after them. Please keep pets on leash. The property is not fenced, and wildlife encounters are possible- including rattlesnakes.
The home has exterior cameras directed at the parking area.
Power outages may happen in this area from time to time. The home is not equipped with a generator. If a power outage occurs, the appliances, hot water, and heating & cooling will not work until power is restored.
Please be aware that due to our mountain location, weather conditions can change rapidly. It is highly recommended that guests have a 4WD vehicle with winter tires in the winter months or carry snow chains with them. Also, due to our delicate ecosystem and the high risk of wildfires, outdoor fires are not permitted between May and October.
Located in the tranquil countryside of Ahwahnee, in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, this location is a 45-minute drive to the Yosemite National Park South Gate Entrance in Fish Camp. Yosemite National Park draws visitors from all over the world for its famed rock formations, rock climbing, cliffs, expansive wilderness, meadows, mountains, glaciers, streams, lakes, and of course- the awe-inspiring groves of giant sequoia.
The home is situated between the historical Gold Rush towns of Mariposa & Oakhurst. Each offers many attractions and a range of dining options.
Yosemite El Portal Entrance & Yosemite Valley: 1 hour
*Bass Lake Recreational Area: 30 minutes
*Oakhurst: 20 minutes
*Mariposa: 30 minutes
1. Maximum 9 people, after 6 guests $50 per person per night.
2. Quiet hours from 10:00 pm - 8:00 am,
3. Dogs need to be added to reservation prior to stay. Pets additional fee $150 per stay. Maximum 3 pets. You have to pick poo after your animal.
4. No cancelations due to smoke or air quality under 200 (AirNow dot gov).
5. $500 cleaning fee for smoking detected inside the property or glass detected inside the spa.

The house was everything we could have hoped for and more! Honestly, just perfect across the board. Hands down the best home we have ever had the opportunity to stay. Phenomenal communication with the Host. The coffee and wine upon arrival was a great touch! We loved the live oak tree in the back yard and the many species of birds and the deer walking nearby too! If you are considering staying near Ahwahnee, we definitely recommend this home. We would love to return! Thank you!!

My family had a great stay. Perfect for little kids and dog. Loved the decor, layout, and play set! It was nice to be secluded but still in driving distance to Yosemite. We drove there two days in a row. Only down side was the septic smell. This took away from eating outside and star gazing.

My family and I enjoyed are stay for the long weekend. The house was airy, clean and open layout was very pleasant with toddlers. My dog had fun exploring the property as well. Nice location for some relaxing fun

This vacation home is exactly what it says it is, and more! My fiance and our 2 yorkies left Minnesota to explore Yosemite and chose to stay 5 nights here. The views were beautiful, the quiet was very much needed! Star gazing was wonderful. Every once in a while the neighboring horses could be heard. Everything was perfect.
