About this villa rental

This private retreat overlooks Lucca from an idyllic location in the village of San Ginese di Compito. That’s close to Lucca town (10 mins by car) and to several local medieval hamlet such as Volterra, Montecarlo and many others. Its expansive grounds and 4 bedrooms are perfect for a quiet stay with family or a sightseeing trip with friends.
Your stay at this luxury vacation rental includes an infinity private swimming pool that measures 12 metres x 6 metres with a jacuzzi corner. Revel in the Tuscan sun from outdoor living areas with a pool, lounging and dining areas, and a barbecue. Or unwind inside with the help of the TV, air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
The villa’s stone walls and wood-beamed ceilings incorporate classic Italian country charm. Sleek furnishings and an open-concept layout, however, add a modern touch.
While it would be easy to spend a week or more relaxing at Nonno Giulivo Farmhouse, there’s plenty to explore beyond its lush gardens. Take a honeymoon-worthy stroll along the pictoresque lake Lago Della Gherardesca close-by, bring children to play in the shallow waters of Versilia or at the local Pinocchio’s park or tee off with friends at a nearby winery. First Floor: 2 master bedrooms with a private terrace each overlooking the estate, 1 bathroom
Second Farmhouse
Ground Floor: living room, full bathroom, outdoor porch/veranda
Lower Ground Floor: kitchen, living and dining.
First Floor: 1 master bedroom, 1 single bedroom, 1 bathroom.
The property is fully air conditioned. The hi-speed optic fiber wi-fi connection is available indoor and outdoor.
You will also be pleased to know that the property produces a very good extra virgin olive oil, that you may be able to taste and buy during your stay.
NOTE: in the same estate there's the home of the owner but she occasionally lives there. The pool is for the private use of the guests and it is not shared with the owner. The pizza owen cannot be used.

Absolutely beautiful main and pool house, perfect for our two groups. We had an incredible visit and this was part of it.

We loved the location ,set in the countryside but just a short drive to Lucca.
We were a family of 8 so the 2 houses gave us space and we could gather in the evening at the large table outside.
The grounds and pool were fabulous surrounded by Olive trees.
Filippo gave us very clear directions to the property.
We would definitely stay here again. The area was so nice for country walks with beautiful fields of sunflowers.
We had an issue with a smell in one property and we were a bit slow mentioning it as it was never apparent in the morning and only built up as heat built up
Filippo didnt have a chsnce to resolve until we were close to our leaving date.We believe this issue has now been sorted ,a malfunction with a refrigerator.

The property is beautiful and well situated in the region to do day trips to Pisa, Florence, La Spezia and others. We really enjoyed our stay at the property and its amenities. The property manager Filippo was great and quick to respond with great recommendations on restaurants and small villages to visit! Would definitely come back.

We recently spent an unforgettable family holiday at Nonno Giulivo, a beautiful villa in Tuscany, and we loved every single day of our stay. The villa itself is an absolute gem, elegantly designed with all the modern amenities while still retaining that authentic Tuscan charm. The views from the villa are nothing short of breathtaking, with rolling hills and olive groves stretching as far as the eye can see.
Each morning, we woke up to the serene beauty of the countryside and enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace, soaking in the sunshine and fresh air. The spacious layout of the villa was perfect for our family, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and unwind. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the living areas provided a cozy spot for evening gatherings.
The location of the villa is ideal for exploring the Tuscan region. We took short drives to Lucca, indulged in local cuisine, and visited some of the most picturesque wineries.
The highlight of our stay was the villa's outdoor space. The private pool was a hit with the kids, and we spent many afternoons enjoying the beautiful scenery.
My special thanks go to Filippo who was incredibly welcoming and helpful, offered fantastic recommendations that made our trip even more special.
