About this cabin rental
Our lake getaway is the perfect place for lake fun including fishing, swimming, hiking, kayaking and boating, Magnificent lake views can be seen from inside and outside the house. Large windows, French doors, lakeside hot tub, and screened porch have lake and mountain views. Loungers, dining tables, fire table, rocking chairs, and swinging chairs just outside the doors on the large decks. Hot tub lake views just outside the lower deck doors. Only 25 feet separate guests from the lower deck steps to the shoreline. It may be difficult to access the lake for those with mobility issues because steps are along the path and down a hill to the dock ramp.
Chattahoochee National Forest is along approximately 80% of shoreline so a very clean lake. Our cabin is across the cove from the US Forest service property and at the deep water end of a wide cove off the main water of Lake Blue Ridge. We have a terrific year around lake view and water access even during the winter when the lake level is down. We have 3 kayaks that guests can use.
NO Pets allowed. No parties, commercial events or excessive noise as defined by the county short-term rental ordinance. We have strict policies in our rental agreement about quiet times so guests don't disturb neighbors.
The house comes fully furnished with almost everything you need from cooking supplies to linens. We provide soap, dishwashing detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, LP gas for the grill, coffee, tea, salt, pepper, and many spices. BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS FOR THE HOT TUB OR LAKE.
All holidays require a 3 night minimum stay except Thanksgiving which requires 4 nights and summer stays have a 7 night minimum.

The area was very quiet and peaceful while we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed the time that we spent outdoors (the screened-in porch, the outside dining tables, the hot tub and the boat house/dock). We even saw baby deer swimming in the lake over our morning coffee. The kitchen was well-stocked and the house was clean. We would love to stay again in the future.

The property has an amazing view of the lake. The owners have stocked the kitchen well and there are plenty of kayaks and water toys. The only downside is that the decks and upper dock is completely unusable after about 1pm due to the sun. The screen porch and dining table are blasted by the setting sun. There are no umbrellas or awnings to prevent burning your feet. Beds are comfortable but basement bedroom has no AC vent and the fan didn’t provide enough air during July heat. Queen bedroom on main floor has bed over the only AC vent and the ceiling fan works but wobbles so badly that sleeping with it on was impossible. Overall the house is nice and well located but be prepared to be hot in the summer.

The pictures look great, but there were issues. We were only 2 couples but the kitchen was so small & no counterspace. We had to get rid of cob webs from the fans, overhead lights, etc.
The bedroom set up is not ideal. The loft bedroom upstairs has no door/privacy, & the view is ridiculous since the windows were so dirty you couldn't see out to see the lake. The blinds were torn/dusty. The bath had the towel holder coming off the wall.
The master king on main floor/bath were fine. But the king suite downstairs was a joke. Concrete floors-not painted-just dark ugly concrete. There was NO door, just a curtain to pull as it's located next to the game room. It was dark, dingy/damp/moldy. We were so disappointed.
The listing states shampoo, body wash etc would be provided. There were 2 little sample bottles and a little bar of soap-enough for 1 night for 2 people! We had to go get shampoo.
The outside deck was nice, good furniture but was in need of yard work/cutting back trees for better views. The deck required alot maintenance as some boards were lifted up over an inch. We tripped on the deck! Also screws/nails were coming up and hurt the bottom of our feet. REAL SAFETY ISSUE. DON'T go barefoot on the deck. We have pictures.
The worst-it was so HOT inside! It faces west-couldn't lower air below 72-it was locked. Asked owner for help-but said all was ok--NOT! The last morning we woke up to 78!
VERY overpriced for the property. Only 10 we'd give is the view!
