House 25 km from Dune du Pyla and Arcachon, 60 km from Cap Ferret

Big well-equipped house. Very friendly host.

We have just returned from our stay, and had a wonderful time. The property itself is a very good size - with 3 large bedrooms, a spacious living room with dining area, and a fully equiped kitchen. The outside space is perfect - with a large covered area with sofas and dining table and a large lawn with plenty of shade from trees. There were loads of toys, games etc to keep the kids entertained. The swimming area is gated off for safety and while not Olympic sized is just right for having a dip on a hot day (as it is not heated it was a little chilly sometimes). The owner (Phillipe) was very welcoming. There is not too much to do in Mios itself (a bakery to get your morning croistants, a tree climbing and canoeing center, and a couple of restraunts), but is makes a good base for exploring the Arcachon basin.

My family and I really enjoyed staying the house, in particular the covered veranda with the table and chairs and settee was great and was used most nights. We all loved the swimming pool, and the children loved collecting the eggs from the chickens which was an added bonus. A very well presented property that is well equipped and very comfortable. The property is very clean and has a modern feel. The garden and outside space is excellent and superb for a family. There is even an opportunity to collect fresh eggs from the hen house. The pool area is also very good and well equipped.
