Buongiorno! SALE DI MARE is a newly built (June 2023) 3 bedroom/2.5 bath beach villa in the luxury resort style community of The Beach Club at Whalehead.
Our charming Mediterranean inspired vacation home offers upscale amenities, luxury decor and posh comfort.SALE DI MARE is located in the brand-new community, The Beach Club at Whalehead. Our newly built oceanside villa is right in the heart of Corolla and conveniently situated across the street from the iconic Currituck Lighthouse.
Our oceanside community offers many amenities, including:
-Community saltwater heated pool and poolside lounge deck (open May–October; one pool towel per guest is included during your stay)
-Fitness center
-Pickleball court
-Taco restaurant and bar, The Salty Rim
-Poolside cabanas available to rent, featuring a teak lounge sofa and/or chairs, teak side table, private TV, curtains, a misting fan, and mini outdoor fridge
-Fire pits
-One EV charging station in the garage (250-amp plugs). Note: Guests must supply their own portable EV charging cable.
-Two EV charging stations within the community (250-amp plugs). Note: Guests must supply their own portable EV charging cable.
Sale Di Mare, which translates to Sea Salt, is colorful, vibrant, and Mediterranean-inspired with beautiful added touches. Our villa is a three-bedroom home with two full bathrooms and one half bath. Two of the bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom (not the master bedroom).
Two bedrooms feature king-size beds, and the third bedroom has a queen bed. Bath and bed linens are included, along with shampoo, body wash, and hand soap. All bedrooms have smart TVs, dressers, nightstands, and walk-in closets.
The living room couch converts to a sleeper for two, allowing the home to sleep eight comfortably. We offer an outdoor shower, an outdoor space for dining and relaxing (including a BBQ), and a balcony off the master bedroom with comfortable, cozy cushioned chairs. You can even see the lighthouse beacon blink at night.
The kitchen is fully equipped with just about everything you need, including additional amenities such as a crockpot, air fryer, Keurig, regular coffee maker, Italian espresso pot, lobster pot, dinnerware, and more.
A complimentary starter kit is provided for your first night and includes:
-One roll of paper towels
-One roll of toilet paper per bathroom (2 rolls total)
-One kitchen sponge
-One dishwasher pod
-Two kitchen garbage bags
-A few Keurig coffee pods
-A few sugar packets and single-serve coffee creamers
-One laundry detergent pod
The dining area seats eight, and the kitchen island has four counter stools and a wine fridge (for a total of 12 seats to enjoy your meals). The washer and dryer are located upstairs. The living room features a TV, and the home includes Wi-Fi throughout.
We also have a garage to store your beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, and more. The villa includes six beach chairs, two beach carts, two UPF 50+ beach umbrellas, beach toys, and two boogie boards for your enjoyment during your stay.
There is a parking spot available in our driveway, with additional guest/visitor parking throughout the community. (Please note: parking in the garage is NOT permitted)
We are within walking distance to restaurants, specifically Corolla Light Town Center, and very close to the 4x4 beach where you can catch a glimpse of the wild horses (just five minutes north of us). The pier for tranquil sunsets can be found across the street at the Historic Whalehead Club alongside the Currituck Beach Lighthouse.
Sale Di Mare is also perfectly nestled between Duck and Carova, so you get charming shops and restaurants nearby along with the natural beauty the Outer Banks is known for.
Fishing, surfing, and swimming are just steps away. Corolla has one fully ADA-accessible beach access with a ramp for beach wheelchairs, located across from the Currituck Beach Lighthouse on Corolla Village Road — the same beach access our guests use. A lifeguard is on duty at the beach.
Corolla Surf Shop hosts surfing lessons at our beach, as it’s a great spot to catch the waves. We are that close to Historic Corolla Village, where you can bike, walk, and stroll. It truly is a beautiful and peaceful place.
Grocery stores such as Harris Teeter and Food Lion are just five to ten minutes south of us. Lighthouse Bagels and Seaside Farm Market are also a short drive away (5–10 minutes). You’ll find fresh local seafood, produce, and homemade baked goods at the market.

New home, well stocked kitchen, walking distance to restaurants, lighthouse, and beach. Nice amenities with a pool and fitness center in the community. Hosts were proactive and great communicators - we would absolutely stay there again.

We’ve had wonderful stay. The house is great and well-stocked. My favorite is the outdoor shower. 2nd favorite is the beach chairs and umbrellas and especially the beach buggies! Makes it so easy.
We’ve loved the added bonus of the pool. So nice after a long day at the beach.
We didn’t know there would be construction going on next door and all around us, but the house is well sound-proofed and we’re out at the beach mostly during the days anyway. When it’s all completed, it will really be lovely.
Fantastic location. Well appointed and brand spanking new. Close to beach, lighthouse, pool access and dining/shopping.

We planned a last minute trip before my oldest goes to college. This townhouse was extremely clean and comfortable. They had plenty of dishes, bedding, towels, etc for our family of five. The location was very convenient! The beach is right down the path and the beach carts, umbrellas and chairs they provided were so helpful! The pool isn't overly crowded and very pleasant when you need a quick dip! Easy parking, easy walk to the shopping area next door. Accessible to the historic area and lighthouse too! Very nice owners and house manager too!
