Llano River Carriage House | 1/1, River Frontage

So many nice things to say about this6 beautiful place. First of all, everything was extremely clean, inside and outside. The bedding and furniture were topnotch. The kitchen had everything we needed. We sat on the front porch, drank our coffee and watched deer, birds and the amazing scenery of the river. It was so quiet and relaxing. It is close enough to town to enjoy a short walk to all the neat shops and restaurants You definitely will not be disappointed if you book here.

Host was nice & responsive to any questions we had. Cute, clean, and beautiful view of the river. Pretty little place with everything we needed. Stayed on the porch a lot watching the deer, squirrels etc. We also enjoyed watching a rain storm. Close to the square so we walked a lot visiting shops, museums and just exploring. Nice people. Some cute places. Was pleasantly suprised by Joe's Bar. Stopped in for a snack and found fish tacos that were were really good!! Service good and drinks cold. Not everything is on Google, so..explore a bit.

I gave this lovely 5-star property a medium rating and I would love to return but don't know if I will, because...the issue is 5 dogs right next door that are kept in a pen that bark. When we got there Friday and moved our luggage into the upstairs whenever they caught sight of us or heard us talking or moving around on the porch, there was barking. Inside we could hear barking off and on that afternoon. We contacted the owner about this issue and from that time Friday evening and all day Saturday it was quiet. On Saturday evening, we were sitiing down by the river access that you can walk down to and enjoy. As we walked back to the house through the yard, the neighbor next door had several dogs off leash walking with her dogs in her yard, her dogs caught sight of us and came running up to us barking and growling ( no fence) in not a friendly manner, it scared me because I don't know if the dogs were going to bite us or not. The dogs did not bite us and returned to their yard but it was an unsettling experience. Not sure if I want to return as these dogs are not people friendly and can be noisy. This property is a very lovely and a relaxing place to be right on the river, but I don't know if I would return because of the dogs next door. Hopefully the owner of the Carriage House can have this issue resolved.
